Sharon Horgan finds sneaky way to enjoy favourite tipple

Sharon Horgan has found a sneaky way of enjoying a drop of alcohol at home without her kids finding out.
The ‘Catastrophe’ star – who has daughters Sadhbh, 14, and Amer, nine, with her husband Jeremy Rainbird – is reluctant to be seen drinking in front of her children, so she has taken to sipping her favourite tipple from a mug.
She shared: "My relationship with drinking is weird.
"I used to feel bad about drinking too early in front of my daughters because I didn’t want them thinking I was some sort of lush. So I started drinking it from a mug."
Sharon’s popular sitcom takes a realistic look at the ups and downs of a relationship and parenting.
And the Irish star has revealed she wishes women were more honest with each other about the stresses of birth.
She told ELLE UK magazine: "The only thing that women should tell each other about becoming a mother is, ‘Don’t go in too late to get the epidural’.
"Don’t look at the birthing room and think, ‘Oh, that looks nice.’ Don’t do that. Do yourself a favour and get in there and take the drugs."
In fact, Sharon admitted to being bemused by the obsession that some women have with giving birth naturally.
The actress – who stars alongside American comedian Rob Delaney on the Channel 4 show – explained: "I don’t understand why there’s any pride in a natural birth – it upsets me."
