Sharleen Spiteri fears she would commit murder if she took part in a reality TV show.
The outspoken frontwoman of pop/rock band Texas – who has 12-year-old daughter Misty with former partner Ashley Heath – is a fan of programmes such as ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ but finds the contestants so irritating she worries how she’d react if she were to take part herself.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "My daughter and I absolutely love ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’, that’s our big watch. We really love it, but in all honesty I would stick a pillow over some people’s faces and sit on it and kill them in the night [if I was on the show], because they’re so f**king annoying. I don’t know why nobody ever says, ‘Shut the f**k up!’ "
The 47-year-old musician added that she would prefer to cause herself physical harm than appear on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
She said: "I would rather poke myself in the eye with a blunt stick, seriously. Can you imagine putting me in there?"
Sharleen is celebrating her band’s upcoming 25th anniversary with the release of their new album ‘Texas 25’ on February 16.
