Seth Rogen to adapt Plebs into a film

Seth Rogen wants to adapt ‘Plebs’ for the big screen.
The ‘Superbad’ star is said to be keen to turn the popular ITV2 sitcom – which stars Tom Rosenthal and Ryan Sampson – into a movie, and he wants the cast to reprise their roles for the film.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "’Plebs’ has been a massive hit for ITV2 and is gaining fans all over the world including Australia."
Seth is also said to be creating a US version of the show, but is seeking other actors to appear in the Stateside version.
The sitcom has aired for four series and tells the story of pals Marcus (Tom), his slave Grumio (Ryan) and Jason (Jonathan Pointing) as they run a bar in a converted toilet in Ancient Rome.
The trio are often trying to come up with money-making schemes to improve their lives, but things never seem to go to plan.
Several actors have guessed starred in the series over the years including Danny Dyer and Michelle Keegan, who could potentially make cameos in the motion picture.
What’s more, Maureen Lipman plays Landlady, Tom Davis stars as Davus, Ellie Taylor joined in series four as Gloria, and Adrian Scarborough previously played Claudius in the first two seasons.
Ryan previously admitted he would love Rosamund Hanson – who plays Smell in ‘This is England’ – to appear in the sitcom as Grumio’s long-lost sister.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "One of my best friends is an actress who would be ideal for Grumio’s girlfriend, so it would be great if there was a Grumio romance. That’s what I want to happen.
"Rosamund Hanson, who plays Smell in ‘This is England’, would be really good as Grumio’s long-lost sister. She’s got that vacant look which would be exactly right."
