Seth Rogen has thanked Amy Pascal for "having the balls" to make ‘The Interview’.
The 32-year-old actor praised the Sony Pictures president for agreeing to make the controversial film in the wake of the studio’s hacking scandal.
Arriving at a screening of the film in Los Angeles, he said: "Before we start we just want to thank Amy Pascal for having the balls to make this movie!"
‘The Interview’ sees James Franco as presenter Dave Skylark and Rogen as his producer Aaron Rapoport and upon learning North Korean leader Kim Jong Un (Randall Park) is a big fan of their show ‘Skylark Tonight’, they manage to arrange an interview with the dictator.
However, as they prepare themselves for their trip to the North Korean capital of Pyongyang they are recruited by the C.I.A and tasked with assassinating Kim Jong Un.
Rogen’s kind words for Pascal came after suggestions the studio may have been hacked by the North Korean’s because of the subject of the new film.
Charles Chun – who plays General Jong in the movie – has no doubts about the origin of the hack, but thinks it may have benefited the film by making people more aware of it.
He shared: "I think we know who did this … And I think the film is going to do really well at the box office because it’s so funny."
