Scarlett Moffatt was ‘really ugly’ child

Scarlett Moffatt was "really ugly" as a child.
The ‘Gogglebox’ star has won over the hearts of the nation since she joined the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle just two days ago, but she hasn’t always had positive attention as she used to be bullied at school because of the way she looked.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she explained: "I think it was the mono brow and teeth that could chew an apple through a letterbox. I was really ugly, I was really weird and I believed in aliens. Even as a kid when I was 11 or 12, I wasn’t like the other kids in the school – I still wore my hair in pigtails. No wonder I got picked on."
The brunette beauty also refused to smile at secondary school after she got hit by a car when she was 11 years old and ended up with unpleasant black front teeth.
She told the publication: "I was on my bike when I was 11 and a car hit me. The nerves had gone, so I had black teeth at the front."
However, the 26-year-old star believes changing schools after the ordeal was the turning point for her because it encouraged her to build friendships with other pupils.
She said: "I knew I had to make friends. Once I moved schools and puberty hit over the six-weeks holidays, all of a sudden I got my boobs, my mam let me wax my eyebrows and I went and got my hair done. I just had this newfound confidence.
"Being bullied made me realise that people will like you or not like you anyway, so you might as well be yourself and say exactly what you think."
