Scarlett Moffatt blasts Nineties movies

Scarlett Moffatt has slammed Nineties films as offensive to women.

The 29-year-old TV presenter revealed she recently gave up on Will Smith’s 1995 movie ‘Bad Boys’ after just 30 minutes because she was horrified at how its female stars were portrayed.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Scarlett – who watched the flick with her police officer boyfriend Scott Dobinson – said: "We watched half an hour. As you get older as a woman, you realise how sexist Nineties films are.

"Within five minutes there was someone with her boobs out and a ¬little skirt as if all we are is meat. I was like, ‘What is this s**t?’"

Meanwhile, former ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett – who rose to fame on the Channel 4 programme from 2014 to 2016 – recently lashed out at show bosses for making her look "thick as sh*t".

Speaking on her ‘Wants To Believe’ BBC podcast, she said: "It was actually very difficult. We used to have to watch ‘Downton Abbey’, but ten minutes of it.

"Can you imagine? I’ve never watched ‘Downton Abbey’ for a full episode and they show us 10 minutes of a man bleeding from the mouth and then I’m like, ‘What’s going on? What’s happening? Who’s this?’

"It looks like I’m thick as sh*t but really it’s because I genuinely don’t have a clue what’s going on. It’s like, ‘Seriously, who is this?’ Because we’ve never watched it before."
