Scarlett Johansson once hit "rock bottom" after a previous toxic relationship pushed her to "breaking point."
The 31-year-old actress may now be happily married to Romain Dauriac, with whom she has 19-month-old daughter Rose, but she has admitted she’ll never forget the difficult romance she had with someone who was always "unavailable" a few years ago.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, the blonde beauty – who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 until 2011 – said: "Long, long ago, I had someone in my life who was forever unavailable … but, like, so attractively unavailable. You have to get to your breaking point."
But, after a while of feeling disappointed and let down, the ‘Jungle Book’ star decided to cut the mystery man loose because she realised she was missing out on life with her friends and family while waiting for him to be available.
She explained: "Rock bottom is the moment when you’re like, ‘I’ve lost myself. Why am I standing outside this bar at 1.30 in the morning texting while my friends are inside? Or taking a taxi to see him at some ungodly hour? This isn’t me.’ That is the moment you’ve gotta cut it off. Otherwise, it will keep coming back, suck your blood."
