Sarah Paulson was told to hide relationship

Sarah Paulson was told to hide her relationship with Holland Taylor.
The ‘American Horror Story’ actress went public with her romance with the 74-year-old actress in March 2016 but admitted she had been advised it would have a "negative" effect on her career.
She said: "Early on, when people found out I was with Holland, some said: ‘I think you have to be careful, I’m afraid it’s going to affect your career negatively’. I was like, what? It never occurred to me at all."
The 42-year-old actress thinks her relationship with Holland is the "least interesting" thing about her, but she always finds people are "fascinated" by their romance.
Speaking to Net-a-Porter’s The Edit, she said: "My life choices are, um, unconventional.
"I’m with a much older person, and people find that totally fascinating and odd, and to me, it’s the least interesting thing about me."
And when Sarah accepted her Best Actress Emmy award in January 2017, she had a fleeting moment of "societal concern", where she questioned her intention to tell Holland she loved her in her speech.
She said: "It occurred to me, should I not do that? And then I thought, why would I not?
"The fact I’m having this thought is wrong. But I had a moment of societal concern; wondering if, maybe, people who didn’t know that about me would be like, wait, what? But then, you know, I did it anyway."
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ actress found it hard to get her big break because she didn’t "stand out" from other starlets.
She admitted: "Early on in my career, people couldn’t place me. I had long blond hair like every girl in Hollywood. I looked like four different actresses all rolled into one. I wasn’t standing out in any way.
"The two times I was ever asked to play a romantic lead on a TV show, I auditioned as a brunette and they wanted me to go blonde.
"One wanted me to put these giant mermaid-like extensions in. And I put up with it then because of my desperation to work."
But following the huge success of ‘American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson’, Sarah’s life and career has changed hugely.
She said: "The difference in terms of my recognisability and my…oh, this is a disgusting word…my profile. It definitely all changed."
