Sarah Jessica Parker: I’m not a feminist

Sarah Jessica Parker insists she isn’t a feminist.
The ‘Divorce’ actress doesn’t think she "qualifies" for the label, even though she believes in equality for both sexes as she still thinks there is a lot of work to be done.
She said: "I am not a feminist. I don’t think I qualify. I believe in women and I believe in equality, but I think there is so much that needs to be done that I don’t even want to separate it anymore.
"I’m so tired of separation. I just want people to be treated equally."
The 51-year-old actress – who has son James, 13, and twins Marion and Tabitha, seven, with husband Matthew Broderick – feels women should receive equal pay for doing the same work as their male counterparts.
However, she doesn’t think it should be a gender issue.
She told America’s Marie Claire magazine: "I would like all of that nonsense to end. I would like women to get paid for the value of their contributions, not by old-fashioned ideas about gender."
The ‘Sex and the City’ actress went on to praise Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson for their outspoken stance on inequality in Hollywood.
She said: "Listen, Jennifer Lawrence deserves every bit as much as her male counterpart. It’s indisputable. Emma Watson is an amazing young woman, and it’s important for her to talk about women’s issues. She isn’t concerned about herself.
"Women are paying the bills, getting it done, getting the kids here and there. The more we address that, we are all going to be better."
Meanwhile, Sarah also opened up about her hopes for her children as they grow up.
She said: "I’m so desperate for my children to be curious people. I just want them to be happy and curious."
