Sarah Hyland thinks it’s more "terrifying" for her boyfriends to meet her ‘Modern Family’ parents than her real mother and father.
The 26-year-old star is dating Wells Adams, and while she is yet to introduce the ‘Bachelorette’ alum to her on-screen mum and dad, Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell – who play Claire and Phil Dunphy – she joked it will be a "stressful" encounter.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she quipped: "For guys you have to meet the parents, which is stressful, but then the more stressful thing is to meet them. That’s the second family, which is the terrifying thing for guys that I date."
Julie said: "We’re waiting, Wells. Feel free to show up whenever you want."
Wells could soon be meeting up with Sarah’s on-screen sister Ariel Winter (Alex Dunphy) as the 19-year-old star admitted she would love to double date with her boyfriend Levi Meaden, Sarah (Haley Dunphy) and the reality star.
She added: "That would be pretty fun. I’d love it."
Ariel and Levi recently celebrated their one-year anniversary, and the raven-haired star has admitted she knew he was Mr. Right from the moment they met.
She said: "I knew there was something about him from the moment I met him, honestly.
"It was like I met him, and I thought to myself, ‘I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about him that’s so interesting and maybe it will be nothing and maybe it will be something. But there’s something here.’
"And it turns out it was a big something."
