Sarah Harding thinks The Jump should include trained skiers

Sarah Harding thinks ‘The Jump’ should only feature celebrities with extensive winter sports experience.
The former Girls Aloud singer – who suffered a painful knee injury while training for the show last year – has rejected calls for the programme to be cancelled because so many famous contestants have got hurt in training, but thinks the stars taking part should be at a certain standard already.
Asked if she thinks it should be banned, she said: "No but I think they should use celebrities who are more experienced. Perhaps they should just stick to Olympians and people who have skied their whole lives."
The 35-year-old beauty is still receiving treatment for the injury and is in a lot of pain.
She said: "It’s still very painful, especially if I wear heels for an event.
"I’ve had physiotherapy for the past year but I had to take a bit of a break while I was touring with ‘Ghost’, which has set me back a bit. The doctors told me that if I don’t stick with the physio I could get early onset arthritis, so it’s something I have to take seriously.
"Hopefully I’ve only got a few more months of treatment left though."
In the months after sustaining her injury, Sarah went "stir crazy" because she was immobile for long periods of time.
She told OK! magazine: "Being in constant pain can be very difficult. For months afterwards I had no choice but to stay at home because I was on crutches and had to ice and elevate it three times a day. I went stir crazy – I was so bored."
Meanwhile, it’s not yet known whether ‘The Jump’ has been axed permanently but it won’t appear on screens next year.
