Sara Cox set to host Between the Covers

Sara Cox is set to present a celebrity book club series called ‘Between The Covers’.

The 45-year-old radio DJ will host an array famous faces as they take it in turns each week to discuss their favourite books with a panel of celebrity guests in a bid to bring the nation together through the pleasure of reading.

Sara said: "I can’t wait to delve between the covers of some fantastic books with some of my most favourite people.

"This show will be welcoming and warm – we want to celebrate books, recommend some absolute crackers and have a good giggle while we do it."

The seven-part series will also feature two review sections, where the panel will discuss the fiction book of the week with a film of the author, and the second selected book of the week, which has been written by one of the celebrity guests.

Sara Pascoe will kick things off with her book ‘Sex Power Money’ with her panel, which includes Tom Allen, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Phil Wang.

Richard Osman will talk about his book ‘Thursday Murder Club’ with fellow panellists Lolly Adefope, Ricky Wilson and Ellie Taylor.

Elsewhere, Sophie Ward will bring along her novel ‘Love And Other Thought Experiments’, and will discuss it wih faces Rebecca Front, Ade Adepitan and Bill Bailey.

Will Young talks about his autobiography, ‘To Be A Gay Man’, with Jo Brand, Ade Edmonson and Andi Oshu, while Alan Davies discusses his autobiography, ‘Just Ignore Him’, alongside panellists Laura Whitmore, Anita Rani and Russell Kane.

Other big-name guests will include Graham Norton, who talks about his novel ‘Home Stretch’ alongside Grace Dent, Ben Miller and Desiree Burch.

Every book featured in the BBC series will be labelled with a ‘Between The Covers’ sticker, meaning fans can easily find them in stores, libraries and online.
