Sandra Marvin joins Waitress cast

Sandra Marvin is joining the cast of ‘Waitress’.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star – who recently left the soap after two years of playing Jessie Dingle – has announced her next big role, treading the boards in the West End musical.
The production’s official Twitter account said: "Welcome to the diner, Sandra! We are so thrilled to be welcoming @sandramarvinuk to the Waitress family, starring as Becky from 17th October (sic)"
The actress will be taking over the role from Marisha Wallace, who has starred in the show since its debut earlier this year.
Sandra is "thrilled" to be stepping up and joining the production, and she has thanked her fans for all their support.
She tweeted: "Absolutely thrilled to be joining the fabulous cast and team at @WaitressLondon playing Becky from October 17th!
"Thank you for all your lovely messages! I’ll get replying! I’m having so much fun already,- Cant wait to meet y’all in the diner very soon! (sic)"
Sandra – who recently made her debut in ‘The Thunder Girls’ stage show – departed the Dales to focus on her theatre and music ambitions.
But she previously revealed the door has been left "open" just in case a comeback is on the cards.
She said: "Thank God they’ve left the door open, I’m very grateful for that. Prior to ‘Emmerdale’ I had quite a diverse career and I’ve done a lot of theatre, plays and musicals, and solo concerts too.
"As a session singer, I recorded the title song on the sound track for the Oscar-winning film ‘Gravity’ with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.
"It’s been an amazing time on ‘Emmerdale’ but I’m also excited to see what the future could hold. It was a really hard one as I love soaps and I always dreamed of being in one. I’ve had the most fantastic time."
