Sam Lavery will sing Bonnie Tyler classic on X Factor Fright Night

Sam Lavery will sing Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ for Fright Night week on ‘The X Factor’ on Saturday evening (29.10.16).
The 17-year-old wannabe pop star has the challenge of covering Bonnie’s 1983 global smash hit, which has gone on to become her staple song and a karaoke favourite of the British public.
To calm her nerves Sam has had a good luck message from 65-year-old Bonnie’s best friend, North East entertainer Lorraine Crosby.
Lorraine – who duetted with Meat Loaf on his 1993 hit ‘I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)’ – said: "Hope she nails the song, good luck! Jim Steinman’s epic track ‘Total Eclipse…’ is one of the biggest power ballads of all time."
Lorraine, 55, also posted on Twitter: "Good luck Sam."
Sam is thrilled to get message of support from Lorraine and retweeted a news item about her her performance along with the caption: "Wow thank you so much xxx (sic)"
The pretty brunette can’t wait to step onto ‘The X Factor’ and sing for the public and the judges, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh, and gave her 26,7000 followers a sneak peak of her outfit.
Along with a selfie photo of her in a flesh-coloured bodice, she wrote: "Not longggggg (sic)"
Elsewhere on Fright Night, Honey G will rap Will Smith’s ‘Men In Black’ – the theme song to his 1997 sci-fi film – while Matt Terry is going to take on Nina Simone’s spellbinder ‘I Put a Spell on You’.
Gifty Louise will once again cover a Fifth Harmony track when she delivers ‘I’m In Love With a Monster’, Emily Middlemas will be putting her unique spin on Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ and 5 After Midnight will attempt to turn Michael Jackson’s iconic ‘Thriller’ into a boy band track.
