Sam Lavery kicked from X Factor

Sam Lavery has been given the boot from ‘The X Factor’.
The 17-year-old singer found herself in the sing-off for the first time in the competition as she battled for her place against 20-year-old Ryan Lawrie.
Sam – who was the youngest singer on the ITV talent show – took on Mary J Blige’s ‘No More Drama’, as she went up against Ryan’s cover of ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’ by rock band Oasis.
Simon Cowell – who mentors the girls – chose to save his act and send home Ryan, as the boys’ mentor Nicole Scherzinger opted to send home Sam.
Louis Walsh then voted to send home Ryan, and the casting vote lay with Sharon Osbourne, who had seemingly decided to send home Ryan, as he had previously found himself in the bottom three multiple times.
Sharon said: "You know, this is so… at this point, Ryan you have improved so much, that was a great safe song, it was brilliant. I don’t know what to do, I honestly do not know what to do.
"The name of the act I am sending home, it’s only because he’s been in the bottom so many times… I hate to do this."
But after being pressed for a decision from presenter Dermot O’Leary, Sharon eventually chose to send home Sam, sending the vote to deadlock.
The decision then reverted to the original public vote, and Sam was kicked from the competition after receiving the fewest public votes.
Speaking after her exit, Sam said: "Thank you to Simon. Just watching that [the video of her time in the competition] I’m like a completely different person from when I first auditioned but all for the right reasons. So just thank you so much. Thank you for everything."
Ryan and the remaining contestants will be back next Saturday (19.11.16) where they will perform songs from the movies theme.
