Sam Aston’s wife told him she was pregnant with a sweet breakfast message.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who plays father-of-five Chesney Brown on the cobbles – is expecting his first child with partner Briony, and she shared the exciting news with her man when serving him breakfast.
The yoga teacher shared a photo of her pregnancy test above toast and an egg on a personalised wooden board, which read: "Daddy, you’re a good egg.
"All my love, Bumble Bee xx"
Briony posted the snap on Instagram, and revealed she had to wait hours to tell Sam about her pregnancy.
She wrote alongside the picture: "Sat waiting for my next midwife appointment and reminiscing over when our incredible journey started (the morning I woke at 3am and had to wait til breakfast time to tell Sam (sic)"
The couple announced in May they are becoming parents for the first time, and earlier this month the 26-year-old soap star revealed they are expecting a baby boy.
He said: "We’re having a boy! It was a massive surprise when we found out, as there are loads of girls in our families, so we were adamant we were having a girl."
While Sam wasn’t allowed to sit alongside his wife when she saw the consultant, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Briony made sure they both found out at the same time.
She added: "We found out the day before lockdown.
"Sam couldn’t come with me because of the current rules, so I got the consultant to write the sex on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope and we both then sat in the car and opened it together. We were over the moon."
