Sally Lindsay wants to return to ‘Coronation Street’ when she is 60.
The 41-year-old actress played Rovers Return barmaid Shelley Unwin from 2001 to 2006 and dreams of returning to Weatherfield for the final years of her career.
She said: "It’s still one of my favourite jobs ever. I’d love to be like Betty [played by Betty Driver] and go back in my sixties and stay there until I’m 90.
"What a great retirement job that would be."
Sally can currently be seen starring with Max Beesley, Mackenzie Crook, Michelle Keegan, Jo Joyner and Jason Manford in ‘Ordinary Lies’ and had a great time filming the drama series.
She told Closer magazine: "We had such a laugh. Jason can’t stop telling gags, Max is a real livewire and I’ve loved getting to know Jo – we always audition for the same roles, so it was nice to work together."
Away from work, the blonde star is trying to get in shape.
She said: "I’ve just hired a personal trainer – I want to be fit. I’m not bothered about weight loss.
"Last week, after training, I could barely walk, I was in so much pain."
