Saira Khan put breast milk in husband’s tea

‘Loose Women’s Saira Khan once put breast milk in her husband’s tea.
The 46-year-old panellist – who has son Zachariah and adopted daughter Amara with her spouse – has revealed she had no choice but to squirt the nutrient-filled liquid she pumped from her bosoms into Steve Hyde’s hot beverage after they ran out of cow’s milk.
Speaking on the lunchtime show on Thursday (09.06.16), she said: "Steve’s had my breast milk. I put it in his tea! I used one of those pumps and I used to put it in the fridge and we run out of milk, I was making him a cup of tea so I put it in.
"It’s quite weak when it mixes with tea. I took it to him, he went, ‘Have you put any milk in there?’ I went, ‘Yeah, there’s loads. It doesn’t look like it cause we’ve run out of milk and that’s the last bit.’
"I was watching him drink it and I asked, ‘Is it quite nice?’ And he went, ‘Well, there’s not enough milk in there.’ I thought, ‘Well that’s all I’ve got out of my breast, there’s no more in there, they’re only little.’ "
Meanwhile, the couple – who got married in 2004 – hit the headlines last month after the brunette beauty revealed she told Steve he could sleep with another woman because she had lost interest in sex.
Despite the backlash she received for the comment, Saira – who hasn’t been seen on the panel since the remarks – insists she and Steve are better than ever and she’s thrilled she shared her worries on television.
She explained: "I’d like to say that I’ve taken a bit of time out. Steve and I had a lovely week together on half-term with the kids and that’s all I’m going to say. I think I’ve given enough people a ride over the last few weeks – that was the wrong word to use!
"Everything is fine, but I’d just like to say that looking back now it was so empowering to talk about something that so many thousands of women felt. I thank this show for giving me the opportunity to say it. Thank you to all of the women, the ‘Loose Women’ fans, cause you really picked up a lady that was quite down and without people’s well-wishes and everything (it would have been tough).
"The day that Steve and I came on a huge burden was lifted and I feel absolutely fantastic, very happy. It was actually a moment that was quite scary at first but we embraced it and I’m very grateful. I’m very happy and that’s the last thing I’m going to say."
