S Club 7’s Tina Barrett gives birth to baby boy

S Club 7’s Tina Barrett has given birth to a baby boy.
The 39-year-old singer and her boyfriend Paul Cashmore, whom she’s been dating for three years, welcomed their newborn son – the couple’s first child together – into the world over the weekend and have named him Roman.
Taking to her Twitter account on Monday (20.06.16), the brunette beauty wrote: "Proud and excited to announce the arrival of my beautiful baby boy Roman," followed by three blue heart emojis, a baby’s bottle and a champagne flute.
Tina announced she was pregnant back in March and admitted the happy news had initially taken her by surprise.
She said at the time: "I have friends who’ve tried for years to get pregnant but we conceived within three months of trying. I know it sounds silly but it did take us by surprise – we thought it would take longer."
The couple – who first met in 2012 on the set of Russell Grant’s charity musical video for ‘The Clapping Song’ – knew they were expecting a little boy but decided to keep it from her fans until the tiny tot had been born.
Tina said: "When the nurse told us what we were having, I burst into tears. I didn’t mind if we had a girl or a boy but I was so overcome with emotion that I couldn’t help myself."
Meanwhile, Tina – who was due to give birth on June 19 – is yet to divulge details on Roman’s arrival but recently said she’d rather have an army of doctors around her when she goes into labour than do it on her own at home.
She explained: "A home birth isn’t for me. I’d rather the security of being surrounded by medical professionals. I’ll definitely be having drugs, too – none of this natural stuff for me. I like the idea of a labour-themed play list. We could play songs like S Club 7’s ‘Reach For the Stars’."
