Rylan Clark-Neal will never ‘be content’ with his looks

Rylan Clark-Neal doesn’t think he’ll "ever be content" with the way he looks.

The 31-year-old star – who is the host of new BBC makeover show ‘You Are What You Wear’ – has been open about his own insecurities, and while he’s in a better place now, isn’t sure he’ll ever be totally satisfied.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he explained: "I definitely feel more confident, but I don’t think I’ll ever be content.

"That’s just who I am. I’ve realised that maybe I’ll never be content and that’s all right."

Meanwhile, the former ‘X Factor’ and ‘Big Brother’ star insisted people shouldn’t be "vilified" for turning to cosmetic procedures if they are "genuinely unhappy with something".

He said: "I’ve always been open with the things I do, whether it’s dying my hair or having aesthetic procedures.

"I’m not saying surgery is great and Botox is fantastic and fillers are amazing, but if you are genuinely unhappy with something and you’re in a position to change it, then I don’t think people need to be vilified for that.

"Sometimes I’ve gone too far with procedures – when I was on ‘The X Factor’ I had my lips overfilled – but that is a learning curve."

Rylan has also learned how to deal with social media trolls, and he admitted it’s usually "the one bad thing" he reads online which affects him.

He added: "You can have a million nice things said about you, but it’s the one bad thing you want to call out.

"But I think me and my bank balance would rather be the one talked about.

"Whenever I get horrible comments about being gay or whatever, I just remember I’m not a horrible person, I don’t treat people like s**t, I’m nice to work with and I’m good at my job. That’s why I work so much."
