Rylan Clark-Neal wants more Supermarket Sweep celebrity specials

Rylan Clark-Neal wants to do more celebrity versions of ‘Supermarket Sweep’.
The 30-year-old presenter hosts the revamped series of the iconic gameshow, which has seen Ovie Soko and India Reynolds win a ‘Love Island’ special, and he would love to see a ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ edition with the show’s co-hosts Ant and Dec and judges Simon Cowell and David Walliams, and Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon in teams of two.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "It would be carnage. That is a group of six who would be great. They are always up for a laugh.
"I reckon Simon has never been in a supermarket, there’s a first time for everything. I would love to see him go wild in the aisles. TV gold."
Speaking about the celebrity cameos, including Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Rylan – who took over the job from late star Dale Winton – previously said: "I like to get some of my celeb pals doing some dirty work, so I might need some help on the pick ‘n mix every now and again.
"I have celebs coming through my doors quite a lot with the supermarket, they trust me, so they tend to do their shopping here but what they don’t realise is when they shop in my supermarket my CCTV recognises their faces so it tracks everything they do.
"So that might play a bit of a part in one of the games! You should see some of the celebrity shopping habits, I mean Eamonn and Ruth are filthy!"
The gameshow also features ‘Coronation Street’ star Jennie McAlpine (Fiz Stape) on the tannoy, while the celebrity guests and members of the public fight to bag some cash and impressive prizes.
Players enter a store where three teams of two go head-to-head using their skills and knowledge of merchandise to win cash prizes.
But they must also answer pop culture questions and solve puzzles based on the products and merchandise found in the supermarkets around the world.
The show concludes in an all-or-nothing trolley dash, where the successful team have to beat the clock and hunt down items hidden among the supermarket aisles.
The final episodes of this series air this week on ITV2 from 8pm.
