Rylan Clark-Neal shocked by contestants’ answers

Rylan Clark-Neal has been shocked by the stupidity of some of the ‘Supermarket Sweep’ contestants.
The 30-year-old presenter has enjoyed taking the reins on the revamped game show and while he’s had fun with some of the "characters" taking part, he was stunned by those who couldn’t answer the quiz questions correctly.
He said: "We’ve had some real characters on. But some of them don’t know the sky is blue. I mean, it’s ‘Supermarket Sweep’ – the questions aren’t exactly hard."
Rylan admitted he felt a lot of pressure hosting the show in place of the late Dale Winton, particularly because it was the first time he’s taken a job and not been able to seek the blessing of the presenter before him.
Asked if he’s been feeling the pressure, he told heat magazine: "Er, yes! Are you insane?
"This is the only job I’ve inherited where I’ve not been able to speak to the person who did it before and say, ‘Do you mind?’
"But I think it’s been going well. I’ve been trying to do Dale as much justice as I possibly can."
The new ‘Ready Steady Cook’ host was a huge fan of the original ‘Supermarket Sweep’ when he was a child.
He admitted: "I used to bunk off primary school to watch it."
Rylan is also relishing having the supermarket to himself after filming.
He laughed:"If a bar of salted caramel Galaxy flew across the studio and the package ripped by accident, I’ve got to write that off as stock loss! This is my supermarket and I’ve got to keep it looking clean…
"As store manager, I can go wild in the aisles whenever I want… I walk around at night in my pants, grazing on Bonio."
