Ryan Seacrest’s friends are allegedly worried his girlfriend might be a "gold digger."
The ‘American Idol’ host, 39, started dating 24-year-old fitness trainer Shayna Taylor last summer, but his close pals reportedly think she is only using him for his connections and fortune.
A source told the National Enquirer: "His buddies are urging him to take his time."
Shortly after she was photographed holidaying with Ryan, who split from ‘Safe Haven’ actress Julianne Hough in April 2013 after three years of dating, in Uruguay and Argentina last July, Shayna landed a modelling contract with Wilhelmina Models, and now hopes to carve out a career as a fitness guru in Los Angeles.
The insider said: "Shayna is already posting healthy recipes and diets to her Instagram page, but she’d like to get deals for a cookbook and fitness training book, and maybe even her own website.
"Ryan needs to look before he leaps."
Meanwhile, Ryan’s mother Connie is said to be desperate for him to settle down and start a family.
The source said: "Connie wants her only son to give her a grandchild in the worst way."
