Ryan Moloney: Neighbours anniversary makes me feel old

Ryan Moloney admits the 35th anniversary of ‘Neighbours’ makes him "feel very old".
The 40-year-old actor has played Jarrod ‘Toadie’ Rebecchi on the Australian soap for 27 years and although he is proud that the show is now well into its’ fourth decade it makes him realise just how long he has been a resident of Ramsay Street.
Speaking in the latest issue of New! magazine, he said: "It’s just incredible. The anniversaries just seem to roll into each other. With each one you think, ‘Well how lucky are we to get this far’ – and then bingo, another one creeps up on us. I’m just rapt.
"I’ve been on it for 27 years. Now that makes me feel very old."
Ryan’s favourite ever anniversary episode is the one that marked the show’s 30th year when Ian Smith returned as beloved character Harold Bishop and was reunited on screen with his late wife Madge, played by Anne Charleston.
He shared: "When Harold returned for the 30th anniversary, it was just great to have him back on the Street. And then Madge turned up as a ghost – it’s hard to top that!"
Ryan insists the future is bright for ‘Neighbours’ and fans have lots to look forward to in Erinsborough.
He said: "Stick with us. We have loads planned!"
