Ryan Lochte is ready to be a dad.
The Olympic swimmer and ‘Dancing With The Stars’ contestant recently proposed to Playboy model Kayla Rae Reid and says he wants to have children as soon as possible.
He told E! News: "Before I even got engaged, I wanted a family of my own. I wanted to find the right one first and then have kids with her. Now that I’ve found the right one, that’s something we definitely talk about…we want kids and I mean, I’m ready to be a dad."
And Ryan, 32, also revealed that he is determined to be involved in planning the wedding with his 25-year-old bride.
He said: "That’s one of the things that I wanted to do because this is not just her wedding, even though everyone always says it’s the woman’s wedding, but it’s mine too and we’re a couple now.
"I wanted to be involved as much as possible. I want to help her pick out the flowers, help pick out the cake…like everything. I want to be right there with her."
Meanwhile, Ryan recently revealed that he wants a reality TV show with Kayla.
He said: "We’ve thought about it. We’ve already thought about it."
"I think that would be a lot of fun. Especially with us, if you see us when we’re home, we’re just a bunch of goofballs. It’s a lot of entertainment, so we would definitely do it."
Ryan also said he is planning to invite everyone from ‘DWTS’ to his wedding.
He explained: "The whole entire show [will be invited]. I mean honestly, it’s been like a family. I definitely want for the wedding itself, my closest friends and family. And then afterwards, you know, that’s a celebration, so I’ll have a huge, huge party."
