Ryan Gosling is "madly in love" with his baby daughter.
The 33-year-old actor and his long-term girlfriend Eva Mendes welcomed their first child into the world last Friday (12.09.14) and the couple are both said to be "in awe" of their little one.
A source said: "Ryan is madly in love with the baby.
"[Eva is] absolutely in heaven being a mom. She’s never been happier.
"She and Ryan are just in awe of this beautiful person they created. It’s a really special time for them."
The couple have also ensured their parents and grandparents have been fully involved in looking after their newborn baby.
The source added to PEOPLE magazine: "Ryan’s mom and Eva’s mom have both been helping.
"They have both been great. The grandmothers are both very excited and both very hands-on – as much as they can be."
Ryan and Eva, 40 – who have been dating since September 2011 – are yet to reveal the name of their little one nor officially confirm the birth of their daughter.
Following the birth at a Los Angeles hospital last week, the happy couple burst into tears when they saw their little girl.
A source recently said: "It was very emotional for Eva and Ryan. They were both in tears when they saw their daughter for the first time!"
