Ryan Clayton confirms Coronation Street exit

Ryan Clayton has confirmed he has departed ‘Coronation Street’.
The ‘Corrie’ star’s time as evil Josh Tucker came to a conclusion on screen last night (01.10.18) when David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) – who the mechanic raped earlier this year – drove him away from the cobbles, and Ryan admits he feels "grateful and blessed" to have starred on the soap.
He wrote on Twitter: "That’s all folks for Josh Tucker. What an honour @itvcorrie . Feeling so grateful & blessed – From being apart of this storyline/ working with such talented & sound people/ All the kind words & support from loved ones & complete strangers. It’s meant the world to me (sic)"
Viewers watched on as David drove Josh down a quiet road and pretended he was outside a police station as he grabbed onto the villain.
Confused Josh, who was recently left blind, reacted with panic that his life would be over if he was forced to confess to rape, giving David the closure he needed on the horrific ordeal.
Ryan and Jack worked with Survivors Manchester – a charity supporting men who have been the victims of sexual abuse – on the hard-hitting plot, and Ryan has thanked the organisation for their help with the storyline.
He wrote: "And of course more importantly than me being a soppy t**t, for anyone affected by this storyline please don’t suffer in silence – when you’re ready http://www.survivorsmanchester.org.uk/ thanks for the support @SurvivorsMcr @mrmadrigal (sic)"
Survivors Manchester tweeted: "We’re so proud of you @RClayton92 and thank you for everything."
Ryan finished filming on ‘Corrie’ six weeks ago and he confirmed to ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Daniel Jillings (Billy Parker) that he is currently out of work.
He wrote: "Now I’m out of work again more time to prep for the big clash again next season. See you out there lad. Except wont see me cause I’ll be going right past you lad! (sic)"
