Ruth Langsford heartbroken by sister’s death

Ruth Langsford is heartbroken after the death of her sister.
The ‘This Morning’ star revealed the sad news that her older sibling Julia has passed away "after a very long illness", and she asked for "time to grieve" the tragic loss with her family as she shared a touching picture.
Writing on Twitter, he said: "My lovely Sis Julia has sadly died after a very long illness. My heart is completely broken.
"She was the kindest and most gentle soul and I will miss her forever.
"As I am sure you will appreciate I need to take time to grieve with my family. Thank you for your understanding."
The two sisters were close, and Ruth previously revealed in an interview that her fantasy 24 hours would involve spending time with Julia.
Referring to her own son, she said: "I’d take Jack, my sister Julia and my niece Katie to a matinee in the West End, followed by a cream tea with the family."
Friends, fans and fellow stars offered messages of support after her statement, including newsreader India Willoughby.
She tweeted: "So sorry to hear this Ruth. Just lost my brother. Sending lots of love to you and your family"
‘Emmerdale’ star Gemma Atkinson also got in touch and sent "lots of love" to the family.
She said: "I’m so sorry Ruth. Sending lots of love to you all."
Former ‘Great British Bake Off’ champion Candice Brown – who won the competition in 2016 – posted a short message of her own in response to Ruth’s statement.
She wrote: "So sorry for your loss Ruth. Thinking of you and sending love and thoughts xxx"
