Run DMC and Dizzee Rascal will headline NASS Festival 2018.
The iconic hip-hop stars – Joseph ‘Run’ Simmons and Darryl ‘D.M.C.’ McDaniels – and ‘Bonkers’ hitmaker will perform at the UK’s only action sports and music festival held at Royal Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet in Somerset, South West England between July 5 and July 8.
It has been a huge year for Dizzee, who released his critically-acclaimed comeback album ‘Raskit’ in July.
Since their break-up in 2002, following the death of third member Jam Master Jay – real name Jason William Mizell – ‘Walk This Way’ hitmakers DMC reunited at Jay-Z’s Made In America Festival in September 2012.
Simmons and McDaniels then reunited again for Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas in November 2012, and again in June 2013 and August 2014 for a summer concerts in Atlanta, Georgia.
Other acts confirmed include Andy C, Sigma, Friction, Flava D, Holy Goof, Killbox, Darkzy, Evil B x B Live, Rene La Vice, Rude Kid, Cirssy Criss, Annix and Sika Studios.
A third headliner is yet to be announced.
There will be a total of seven stages next year, as well as, international skate and BMX competitions across park, vert and dirt disciplines set to a backdrop of street art.
The NASS main stage will see grime superstar Dizzee make his NASS debut, fresh off the success of his recent album ‘Raskit’, alongside the legendary New York act.
Some 20,000 music and action sports fans will gather to watch the world’s top BMXers and skateboarders and witness an eclectic array of live music performances across the fields of hip-hop, drum & bass, grime and many more.
