Rudimental perform new tracks

Rudimental unveiled tracks from their new album to fans at Fusion Festival with Vimto.

The drum and bass quartet headlined the annual event – which raises money for youth charity the Prince’s Trust – in Birmingham’s Cofton Park on Saturday night (29.08.15) and played through a flurry of new songs from their album ‘We the Generation’ which is due to be released in October.

As well as new singles ‘Never Let You Go’ and ‘Bloodstream’, the band gave fans a hint of what they can expect from the new record, teasing the LP’s first track ‘I Will for Love’ which was sung by Will Heard.

But the group also provided fans with exactly what they wanted by performing the party singles which filled their debut album such as ‘Waiting All Night’, set closer ‘Feel the Love’ and ‘Not Giving In’, which DJ Locksmith said they were playing for his son.

He told the crowd of more than 20,000 fans: "I want to dedicate this to a very special person in my life. I want to dedicate this to my five-year-old son."

Meanwhile, the eclectic lineup also featured performances from former N-Dubz star Dappy, rising stars Becky Hill and MNEK, Grammy Award winners Clean Bandit and ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ hitmaker Labrinth.

Elsewhere, Ella Henderson took to the stage to pay homage to her pal and fellow musician OneRepublic with a rendition of ‘Love Runs Out’, while Sigma covered a selection of well-known hits including Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’.

Fusion Festival with Vimto will end today (30.08.15) with a headline performance from McBusted.
