Ruby Rose learned sign language

Ruby Rose was "so excited" to learn sign language for her role in ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’.
The 30-year-old actress relished the chance to pick up the "beautiful" way of communicating for her role as mute assassin Ares in the action sequel and thinks it is something everyone should learn.
She said: "I did, I learned sign language and I was so excited to learn it.
"I think its a beautiful language and I actually wish that everybody could speak it because its just so universal."
However, Ruby admitted the phrases she was taught for role are unlikely to come in useful in real life.
She told ‘Late Night’ host Seth Meyers: "The problem is I only learned words that I can’t have conversations with.
"Unless I want to say ‘Hi, how are you, would you like to die now or later’ or like ‘run for you life, quickly, I’m going to get you.’ They aren’t things you actually want to say to people."
Ruby recently revealed one of her professional ambitions is to work with Meryl Streep, though she feels lucky as she’s already starred with a number of her heroes.
She said: "I’ve been really lucky that I’ve worked with all my heroes throughout these films that I may never need to work again. But … until Meryl. Meryl Streep."
And the ‘Orange is the New Black’ star thinks her main career "challenge" is proving she could play a traditional female role if she wanted to.
She said: "My biggest challenge is to convince a network or studio head that I can play a Stepford wife.
"So I have no challenges. I went from being underprivileged to being very privileged."
