Britain's Prince Charles doesn't understand Scottish people when they're drunk.
The 65-year-old Royal is an ambassador for the Scottish arm of the Prince's Trust and he attended the charity's awards ceremony in London on Wednesday (14.03.14) where he met stand-up comedian Des Clarke and joked that he struggles to understand Scots' drunken slurs.
Des told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was the first time I've met the prince and it was fantastic.
"It was so funny because I said I was from Glasgow and he said, 'I know, I can tell by your accent'. And I said, 'Are you OK with the Scottish accent?' He said 'Oh, yes, fantastic. Until you've had a couple of drinks'. So he said 'I'll make sure that I don't speak to you after five o'clock.'
"He was very charming."
The Prince of Wales met a number of other celebrities at the 10th annual awards ceremony in London's Leicester Square including Joan Collins, Dominic West, Jeremy Irons and Sir Ben Kingsley.
Danielle Fisher - who was presented with the Breakthrough Award for overcoming her suicidal thoughts and going on to work in a children's home to support others - praised the heir to the throne during her acceptance speech.
She said: "It's amazing knowing people like Prince Charles want to support you."

Gok Wan thinks Britain's Royal Family have a great sense of style.
The 39-year-old fashion consultant and TV personality - who is known for programmes including 'How to Look Good Naked' and 'Gok's Fashion Fix' - has admitted he wouldn't dream of giving Prince Charles and his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, fashion advice because they already look great.
Speaking about the Prince of Wales, he said: "I have no style tips for him, can you imagine me saying 'come on Charles?' It would never happen and I would do no different to what he is doing now.
"Prince Charles has a great sense of style he rocks a double breasted blazer and he is also really funny and lovely."
Moving on to Charles' heirs, he added: "They have great style ... it is all good."
Meanwhile, Chanel's head designer and creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, has praised Prince Charles' mother, Queen Elizabeth, as "flawless".
He said: "Nobody does the job better than [The Queen] does. She is never ridiculous; she is flawless. For this job, in our day, she is perfect."

Zara Phillips is already horse riding again after the birth of her daughter.
The 32-year-old Olympic star - who is Anne, Princess Royal's only daughter - gave birth to her first child, daughter Mia Grace, just seven weeks ago but admits she's already riding again and hopes to return to competitions as early as next month.
Speaking at the Cheltenham Festival, she said: "I've gotten back on the horse. I'm very stiff - my muscles ache!"
The second eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth welcomed her daughter with her rugby star boyfriend Mike Tindall in January, but has been enjoying some well deserved time off for the last two days as she's attended the horse racing event in Gloucester, south-west England, where she claims she hasn't had much luck.
When asked to recommend a horse to bet on, she said: "I wouldn't listen to me - I'm a terrible tipster."
Another guest at the meet - which has the second largest race prize in the United Kingdom, behind the Grand National - was the Duchess of Cornwall, who was pictured looking very happy with her winnings during Ladies Day on Wednesday (12.03.14).

Britain's Princess Diana allegedly gave a royal phone book to the News of the World newspaper.
The late Princess of Wales reportedly gave the book of contact numbers to the now-defunct newspaper in a bid to "take on" her estranged husband, Prince Charles, the Old Bailey has heard.
Clive Goodman - who is the former royal editor for News of the World - told the phone-hacking trial that he received the book in 1992 because she wanted to make "an ally" in the press, and he denies claims that he paid for the books.
The princess - who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, a year after divorcing the prince - initially separated from the Prince of Wales in 1992 after 11 years of marriage and Mr Goodman claims she sent the book to the newspaper and it then ended up in his pigeonhole.
He told the court: "She was at the time going through a very, very tough time.
"She told me she wanted me to see this book, she wanted me to see the scale of her husband's staff and household, compared to the scale of hers.
"She was in a very bitter situation with the Prince of Wales at the time, she felt she was being swamped by the people close to him.
"She was looking for an ally and to take him on to show the kind of forces that were ranged against her."
Mr Goodman denies conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office and claims he neither paid for the books nor received them from a public official, the trial continues.

Britain's Prince Charles attended a memorial for the late Sir David Frost today (13.03.14).
The 65-year-old royal was among the 2,000 people who paid tribute to the broadcaster - who died last August, aged 74 - at a service in London's Westminster Abbey.
The sombre event had quite the royal turnout with Charles' wife Duchess Camilla, Prince Andrew, his daughter Princess Beatrice, and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, also turning up.
Charles joined David's widow, Lady Carina Fitzalan-Howard, to lay flowers on a memorial stone dedicated to the late newsreader.
Fellow broadcaster Sir Michael Parkinson gave a reading, as did BBC director general Tony Hall, while comedian Ronnie Corbett read a prayer in commemoration of David.
Legendary actress Joanna Lumley added some humour to proceedings with a jovial poem about the broadcaster.
The Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall, hailed David as one of the world's "greatest communicators".
He added: "Surely it was the warmth of his humanity, his interest in people, and what made them tick, that made his 'Hello, good evening and welcome' welcome in the world's living rooms."
David is best known for his infamous TV interviews with former US president Richard Nixon.

Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria celebrated her name day yesterday (12.03.14).
The 36-year-old Royal celebrated the occasion at the Royal Palace Square in Stockholm, Sweden, where she was treated to a drum salute and presented with a bouquet of violet flowers while a band played a special march in honour of the first-in-line to the throne.
The princess was accompanied by her husband Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland and their two-year-old daughter, Princess Estelle - who behaved impeccably throughout the ceremony and was even seen dancing along to the band's music before clapping in approval as they finished their set.
Following the celebrations and concert, Victoria - who wore a monochrome coat with long white gloves and her hair in an elegant bun - greeted members of the public who had come out to wish her a happy name day.
In Sweden, each day is associated with a certain name and although originally only martyrs and saints' names were celebrated, more common names have been added to the calendar throughout history.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth has been voted Royal mother of the year.
The 87-year-old monarch has four children - Prince Charles, 65, Princess Anne, 63, Prince Andrew, 54, and Prince Edward, 50 - with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh, and although other members of the Royal family have much younger children, she received equal votes to the Duchess of Cambridge in a poll held by Disney.
As part of the company's search for Celebrity Mum of the Year 2014, they have released figures which show that 50 per cent of voters thought that the queen and her daughter in law Duchess Catherine - who gave birth to the queen's great-grandson Prince George last year - were the best royal mothers ahead of Zara Phillips and her mother Princess Anne.
The results come as the queen's eldest son and the heir to the throne - Prince Charles - admits he has been taking lessons in "grandfatherhood" so that he can take better care of his grandson .
Speaking at the Prince's Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards, after his speech was interrupted by a crying baby, he said: "I've been taking lessons in grandfatherhood.
"I'm getting used to this now and I know when something needs a bottle - or maybe it's something else."

An employee of Britain's Buckingham Palace has prevented a jewellery shop from being robbed.
A teenager has been charged with robbery after an attempted raid on a jewellery shop in London was stopped by a member of staff from the official residence of Queen Elizabeth.
Kaneen Gopaul, 18, from Islington in north London is now set to appear before Wimbledon magistrates' court accused of robbery and handling stolen goods.
A gang of thieves pulled up to H Stain jewellers in Victoria - a ten minute walk from the palace - on Tuesday (11.03.14) armed with axes and sledgehammers and began to attempt to smash the glass windows until a bystander - who is understood to work part-time at Buckingham Palace - spotted the crime and managed to catch Mr Gopaul before he could escape with the rest of the gang.
The man - who chose not to divulge his name - said of the crime: "It was like watching a Guy Ritchie movie ... I thought, 'this is my bloody city - why should thugs like this get away with it."
Police are now searching for the remaining three suspects, who are believed to have made their getaway in a number of black taxis, and therefore officers are appealing to any taxi drivers who may have information.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: "We believe the suspects who hailed the black cabs would have done so not long after 1pm and officers are particularly keen to hear from the taxi drivers who made these pick ups."

Britain's Prince Charles is taking lessons in "grandfatherhood".
The 65-year-old Royal welcomed his first grandchild last year when his son and daughter-in-law, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, had their first child, Prince George, and yesterday (12.03.14) he claimed he'd been taking lessons in how to be a good grandfather after a crying baby interrupted his speech at the Prince's Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards.
He said: "I know when something needs a bottle. It's time to give it a bottle.
"I've been taking lessons in grandfatherhood.
"I'm getting used to this and I know when something needs a bottle - or maybe it's something else."
The Prince of Wales - who is Queen Elizabeth's eldest son and the heir to the throne - also thanked TV hosts Ant and Dec for their continued involvement in the awards during his speech.
Celebrities including Joan Collins, Dominic West, Sir Ben Kingsley and Jeremy Irons also attended the event at the Odeon in London's Leicester Square, where 23-year-old Danielle Fisher - who was presented with the Breakthrough Award - thanked the Prince's Trust for helping her to overcome depression.
She said: "It's amazing how people like Prince Charles want to support you. When I was up on stage he said to me, 'It's alright'.
"I never thought I'd be able to turn my life around but I have."
