Prince Harry reveals public speaking secret

Britain's Prince Harry is terrified of public speaking.
The 30-year-old royal made the revelation as part of the Feel No Shame campaign which is aiming to reduce the stigma associate with HIV for World AIDS Day.
In a video released online earlier today (01.12.14), he said: "My secret is, believe it or not, I get incredibly nervous before public speaking, no matter how big the crowd or the audience.
"And despite the fact that I laugh and joke all the time, I get incredibly nervous, if not anxious, actually, before going into rooms full of people when I'm wearing a suit."
The prince is just one of many famous faces who have revealed an intimate fact about themselves in order to show solidarity with the millions of people suffering from HIV across the globe, in an attempt to encourage people to seek help for their condition to stop the spread of the virus.
Former professional boxer Ricky Hatton also took part in the campaign by revealing that despite his tough exterior, he has a phobia of cats.
In his video, released this morning, he said: "Ever since that day, when I was one year of age, I've been scared of cats, and whenever one comes across my path I'm petrified of them."
Organised by charity Sentebale - which was co-founded by the flame-haired royal in 2006 - other A-listers also taking part in the campaign include Nicole Scherzinger, Paloma Faith and Gemma Arterton.
It is hoped the campaign's launch will encourage the public to use the hashtag #feelnoshame to reveal their own secrets.

Prince Harry to reveal secret

Britain's Prince Harry will reveal a personal secret later today (01.12.14).
The 30-year-old royal will be joined by a host of celebrities in revealing an intimate fact about himself, to show solidarity with HIV sufferers across the globe on World AIDS Day.
The Prince, Nicole Scherzinger, Paloma Faith and Gemma Arterton are among the famous faces preparing to open up about themselves on the Feel No Shame website this afternoon.
The idea is to reveal a secret to show those who suffer with HIV not to be ashamed of it and to seek medical support and education about their condition in an effort to prevent the virus from spreading.
The campaign has been organised by the charity Sentebale - which was co-founded by Prince Harry - to raise awareness of how eradicating the shame and stigma can save lives.
The flame-haired royal launched the campaign this morning (01.12.14) by asking the public to share the own secrets via social media with the hashtag ♯feelnoshame in return for his, which will be revealed on the website at 1pm.
Other celebrity's videos will be released throughout the day.

News agency mistakes waxwork for Prince William

A Japanese news agency mistook a waxwork of Britain's Prince Williams for the royal himself.
Jiji Press has admitted to publishing a photograph of the 32-year-old royal's waxwork at Madame Tussaud's in New York instead of an image of the Duke of Cambridge himself.
Jiji Press said in a correction: "The photo was not that of the real McCoy but rather that of a wax figure."
The image ran alongside a story about William's planned visit to Japan next February and the error wasn't rectified until another member of staff realised the image wasn't as life like as it should've been, The Asahi Shimbun website reports.
The writer responsible for the mistake is said to have misread the English caption underneath the photograph, which indicated the image was of the waxwork, and the agency has since apologised to its readers.
Naoto Takamura of Jiji's editorial department said: "It's a very embarrassing mistake."
The photograph of the model was taken in October when the New York attraction unveiled a range of Royally-themed waxworks, including those of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Williams's wife, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Zara Phillips’ daughter christened

Zara Phillips' nine-month-old daughter was christened yesterday (30.11.14).
The 33-year-old Olympian was joined by her retired rugby star husband Mike Tindall, grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, grandfather Prince Philip, cousin Prince William and mother Princess Anne for the baptism of her first child, Mia, in the English village of Cherington.
Mia - who was born in January this year - was carried into the church by her mother, with father Mike and his ex-England ruby player pal Iain Balshaw following close behind.
The remainder of the Royal guests, including the baby's grandmother Princess Anne, arrived shortly afterwards, with the Queen and her husband Prince Philip the last to enter the venue.
The 88-year-old monarch - who was dressed in a pale pink outfit - stopped to smile and wave for a group of well-wishers waiting outside the church before going inside to witness the blessing.
The vicar responsible for the christening, who is fairly new to the post, was reported by the Daily Express newspaper as being a "little nervous" about presiding over the high-profile occasion.
Since giving birth earlier this year equestrian champion Zara has described herself as a "full-time mother" and has begun competing again while caring for Mia without the help of a nanny.

Prince Edward branded ‘reckless’

Britain's Prince Edward has been branded "reckless" after aiming a gun near his son's head.
The Earl of Wessex - who is the youngest of the Queen's four children - was pictured looking through the scope on his powerful double-barrelled shotgun while his six-year-old son James, Viscount Severn stood in front of him, just centimetres below the aim of the weapon.
Former policeman and safety campaigner Ronald Scott - who has spend the past 50 years investigating shooting accidents - said upon seeing the images: "I cannot believe what I am seeing here.
"This is grossly negligent and totally reckless behaviour.
"The young lad appears to be almost directly in front of his father."
He added to the Daily Express newspaper: "This is a primary violation of the most important rule of safety - never point your gun in an unsafe direction or in a direction near another person, even if it is unloaded."
The photographs were taken at the Queen's Sandringham estate, where the 50-year-old royal was joined by his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 49, and their 11-year-year-old daughter Lady Louise Windsor.
Meanwhile, Edward's brother Prince Charles was also photographed taking part in a shoot with a group of eight friends, despite having highlighted the plight of endangered species shot by poachers in Africa earlier in the week.

Princess Beatrice uses organic make-up

Britain's Princess Beatrice uses organic make-up.
The 26-year-old royal - who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson - is a fan of her friend Louise Redknapp's Wild About Beauty collection and the former Eternal singer has revealed she often sends her pal some of the range's best-selling items.
And Beatrice will always be fashionable if she uses the new products when she receives them.
Speaking of the collection, Louise - who has sons Charley, 10, and Beau, six, with husband Jamie Radknapp - told MailOnline: "Our make-up is fashion-led. I look at trends, analyse textures, create mood boards and plan for the year ahead."
Earlier this week, Beatrice joined her father on an official engagement in Abu Dhabi.
The royals - who, along with the princess' boyfriend Dave Clark, had also attended the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - unveiled two plaques at the British School Al Khubairat, where they were joined by UK Ambassador Philip Parham and the UAE's culture minister and met with pupils and staff.

Laura Mvula: Prince Charles is cool

Laura Mvula thinks Britain's Prince Charles is "really cool".
The 28-year-old singer met the prince and his wife Duchess Camilla last week at a Clarence House reception to mark the 100 year anniversary of music rights organisation P.R.S. for Music, and though she arrived late and didn't have the dignified meeting she had hoped for, Charles took it all in his stride.
She said: "I was aware that because it's cold outside, I had snot flying out my nose. My hair was kind of jagged and my shirt was half tucked in. But he was really cool."
As well as industry executives, Laura was joined at the reception by artists including Sir Paul McCartney, Lily Allen, Ray Davies of The Kinks, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and Queen's Brian May, and admitted she felt "inspired" by the gathering as it made her feel less "isolated".
She told Billboard: "I always feel inspired by events like this because it reminds me that there's somebody who cares about music, artists and songwriters in this country.
"I feel looked after, which is necessary when you're on this kind of lonely artistic journey, because sometimes you can feel a bit isolated."

Duchess Catherine wrote from the heart

Britain's Duchess Catherine wrote "from the heart" to a grieving mother.
The pregnant duchess - who is expecting her second child with husband Prince William - embraced Leigh Smith earlier this week after she spoke about the death of her three-month-old daughter Beatrice at a fundraising appeal for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), and the physiotherapist felt "honoured" to have the royal audience after previously corresponding with her.
Leigh said: "When I was originally asked by EACH to speak at the launch event, in front of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, I felt honoured.
"In the weeks after Beatrice had died, and knowing that she was patron of EACH, I felt compelled to write to her and tell her our experience of the wonderful service that they provide. I wanted to highlight to her how important child palliative care, and in particular bereavement services are to families like mine who are facing their worst and most devastating nightmares.
"I was so touched to receive her reply, hand signed, and obviously written from the heart."
"Being invited to personally meet the duchess at the launch event was therefore pretty amazing and finding out it was to be held in the week that Beatrice would have turned one made it even more special."
And Leigh will "never forget" the meeting with the duchess - who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - or Catherine's genuine concern.
She is quoted by MailOnline as saying: "Meeting her was a moment I will never forget. She was very natural and engaging and when I mentioned the letter she asked me how I was coping and what services EACH had been able to offer since.
"She expressed her sadness at the death of Beatrice and as two mums of very similar age I could see that it must have been hard but she seemed to genuinely care which was lovely."

Queen Elizabeth to open school

Britain's Queen Elizabeth will officially open a new free school today (28.11.14).
The 88-year-old monarch and her husband Prince Philip will be given a tour of Holyport College near Maidenhead, Berkshire, South East England, before unveiling a plaque in front of 122 pupils, staff members and parents.
The school is state funded, providing free daytime education, but parents can pay £3,850 a term for boarders.
Though there are currently 122 students aged between 11 to 19, the school is able to accommodate 500 pupils, including 225 boarders.
The establishment - which is free from council control - was first proposed in 2012 and opened its doors for the first time in September.
The school is sponsored by Eton College - a public school where a number of members of the royal family have been educated - and students have access to some of their facilities.
Eton headmaster Tony Little previously spoke of his pride in the scheme.
He said: "I am not concerned what the model is.
"This is using a practical route to create something that I believe in and which is of great value to young people."
