Duke and Duchess of Cambridge protected by S.W.A.T team in New York

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be protected by a S.W.A.T team during their visit to New York.
The royal couple - who arrived in America on Sunday (07.12,14) - will reportedly be under constant surveillance for the duration of their stay to protect them from a "flash mob".
According to reports, the New York police department are worried about an incident occurring, following a 600-strong riot in the city after a grand jury decided to not prosecute a police officer who killed father-of-six Eric Garner, 43, with a choke hold.
A spokesman for the NYPD confirmed: "[There will be] heightened security."
While John Miller, a former police officer turned private consultant who is not involved in the operation, shared his thoughts on the matter.
He told the Daily Star newspaper how he expects the couple will be followed by a S.W.A.T (Special Weapons and Tactics) van for maximum safety.
John said: "They probably won't ever realise how closely they are being watched.
"[A van will be] discreetly parked down a side street in their armoured truck, probably never more than a couple of hundred yards away."
Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cambridge, 32, - who is expecting her second child - will reportedly remain at their £9,580-a-night room in the Carlyle hotel, while her husband, also 32, meets with US President Barack Obama.
The couple will leave their 16-month-old son Prince George at home in England with his nanny Maria Borrallo.

The wife of New York mayor Bill de Blasio has been full of praise for the 32-year-old royal ahead of their meeting later today (08.12.14).
According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Chirlane McCray said: "Never in my wildest, most far-out dreams did I ever think I'd be spending time with the Duchess of Cambridge."
The pair will visit the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem, which seeks to give educational, emotional and developmental support to children and families living in New York City.
Her Royal Highness, Duchess of Cambridge, 32, - who is currently pregnant with her second child - will visit several charities during her stay in New York, with her husband Prince William, also 32.
The couple - who are already parents to 16-month-old Prince George - are planning a trip to unemployment charity The Door, to see the work they carry out in partnership with the CityKids Foundation on Tuesday (09.12.14).
The Duke of Cambridge will meet with former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea Clinton at a conservation reception at the British Consul General's residence.

Princess Beatrice is victim of hacking scandal

Britain's Princess Beatrice's salary has been revealed after being targeted by hackers.
The 26-year-old royal is the latest victim of computer crime which saw the details of her wages and home address leaked across the internet.
According to Forbes magazine, who have been examining the hacking scandal, Beatrice earns £19,500 a year as a producer for Sony Pictures, where she has been working since January 2014.
Her address was listed at "Windsor, Berkshire".
The security breach has reportedly sparked concern for other members of the royal household.
Royal author Phil Dampier told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "If it emerges that Princess Beatrice's information and emails have been hacked along with other Sony employees I expect there will be concern among her family and the royal household.
"When the royals have email accounts, Facebook profiles and Twitter accounts, as Beatrice does, they are in the same boat as the general public when it comes to being hacked."
Beatrice - who is the daughter of Andrew, Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson - is the latest in a long line of hacking victims, which has also included Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone.

The country have denied any involvement in the scandal, but added that a sympathiser may have carried out the attack.

The 30-year-old royal was spotted being escorted out of private member's club Raffles in London's Chelsea in the early hours of this morning (05.12.14) after drinking Dom Perignon champagne with pals.

Princess Beatrice victim of cyber-attack?

Britain's Princess Beatrice may be a victim of a cyber-attack.
The 26-year-old royal - who is the first woman in line to the British throne - may be among the victims of a cyber-attack on Sony as she was working at Sony Pictures in London when hackers breached the company's computer network.
The attack took place last week and sensitive medical files, email exchanges, pay details and other private information is believed to have been stolen.
Princess Beatrice - who is sixth in line to the throne - began her internship at the electronics company at the beginning of the year.
She quit her job at the investment capital firm Cabot Square Capital last summer in order to go travelling with boyfriend Dave Clark but has since been working at Sony Pictures Television at their London headquarters.
A spokesman for the princess told MailOnline that she "continues to work in the business sector" while The Times newspaper has reported that she is still an employee of Sony.

Duke and Duchess of York ‘proud’ of work charity does

Britain's Duke and Duchess of York are "proud" to work with Key To Freedom.
Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson joined forces with the Women's Interlink Foundation and Topshop to support the ethical fashion initiative, which is launching its fourth collection of accessories today (05.12.14).
The Duke of York told Marie Claire magazine: "I am immensely proud that Key To Freedom has launched its fourth collection. It gives me great pleasure to work with the Women's Interlink Foundation on their important work supporting women in West Bengal, developing skills to allow them to become economically active."
All proceeds raised by sales of hand-made kimonos, scarves and make-up bags go towards the women's charity, funding a fresh start, support and safe new homes for Bengali women who are victims of sex trafficking, abuse and slavery.
The initiative allows girls to earn a living by teaching them the craft skills needed to make the products, with the income going back into the foundation to help build even better facilities.
Key To Freedom was founded in 2012 after the Duke and Duchess and their daughter Princess Eugenie visited India and The Prince Andrew Charitable Trust now oversees the long-term development of the business model.
Sarah, Duchess of York - who also has daughter Princess Beatrice with Andrew - said: "One of the most important things is making dreams come true and I am so supportive of Aloka Mitra [founder of Women's Interlink Foundation] and her ladies for doing exactly this.
"The work they do brings dignity to their lives, and the impact of this project has had a profound effect on the ladies futures. I am very proud to be a part of Key To Freedom."
The fourth collection is on sale at Topshop now, with prices starting at just £19.

Slice of Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s wedding cake in auction

A slice of Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding cake is up for sale.
Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California will auction off the slice of fruit cake, which was given to guests at the wedding of Prince William and Duchess Catherine, after an invitee sold it to them.
The cake featured eight tears, took the baker five weeks to make and is said to have peaked in flavour 13 months after being made, comes in a royal red tin along with a blank invitation to the wedding presented on the Queen's stationary.
The auction house has predicted a selling price of between $1,000 and $2,000 after selling a slice of cake from the wedding of Prince William's parents - Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana - for over $6,000, 27 years after it was baked.
The sale is set to take place this afternoon (05.12.14) with five of Diana's dresses - which are expected to sell for a whopping $60,000 to $100,000 - also featuring in the auction.
Julien's executive director Martin Nolan claims Diana sold the dresses in question at an auction in 1997, just months before she was killed in a car accident.
The blonde beauty was persuaded by her son William to sell the gowns, claiming she could give the $5,000 to $18,000 proceeds to charity.
Nolan believes the dresses - which can be bought at the auction house or on their website - will be snapped up by a museum.
He told CNN: "People still have a love affair with Diana, so they know these dresses will bring people through museum doors."

Prince Charles calls on British businesses to end deforestation

Britain's Prince Charles has called for British businesses to end deforestation.
The 66-year-old royal is lending his support to a new business-led campaign to try to minimise the United Kingdom's contribution to the global problem and yesterday (03.12.14) chaired a meeting of World Wide Fund For Nature's [WWF] new Forest Business Forum, businessGreen.com reports.
WWF-UK chief executive David Nussbaum said of the issue: "WWF-UK's forest campaign challenges businesses to commit to responsible trade in wood and paper to help end deforestation around the world.
"Businesses that rely on wood, from greetings car companies to furniture manufacturers and music instruments makes, need to step up and make sure they only use materials from sustainable sources.
"I am delighted the Prince of Wales has brought his passion and concern for the environment to help highlight this pressing issue."
The forum currently includes companies such as Boots, BSW Timber, Tesco and Kimberley-Clark but is now calling on retailers, manufacturers and timber firms across the UK to join the coalition.
'Dragon's Den' star Deborah Meaden - who is also a WWF ambassador - said it made "business sense for leading businesses to work together to reach solutions that ensure the long-term supply of a resource on which they, as well as nature, depend", during the conference.

Duchess Catherine to watch the Rockettes?

The 32-year-old royal is set to embark on three-day tour of the American state and city with husband Prince William this weekend and although they have a hectic schedule, she's said to be planning to fit in some sightseeing.
Duchess Catherine - also known by her non-royal name Kate Middleton - is keen to visit some of the top tourist spots and even take in one of the legendary dance company's shows.
A source told PEOPLE magazine: "Somebody told me that Kate would like to see the Statue of Liberty or the Rockettes while she is here."
The royal couple - who will be travelling without Prince George - will arrive in New York on Sunday (07.12.14) and, after freshening up at the Carlyle hotel on the city's Upper East Side, they will attend a private dinner with the president of the American Friends of the Royal Foundation, the New York Post newspaper's PageSix reports.
William and Catherine - who are expected to travel to Brooklyn the next day to watch a Brooklyn Nets basketball game - are predicted to receive the same warm welcome as the Prince's late mother Princess Diana did on her trips to the big apple.
New York society publicist R. Couri Hay told PEOPLE: "She [Catherine] is so relatable, but has that glamour and sparkle. They will create a frenzy that could match Princess Diana's [past] visits."
