Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla visit royal baby

Britain's Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have visited the one-day-old Princess of Cambridge.
The 66-year-old Prince of Wales arrived at Kensington Palace at lunch time along with his wife Camilla to meet his first granddaughter, who was born at St Mary's Hospital in London on Saturday morning (02.05.15).
The Prince - who said he was "absolutely delighted" about the news of the child's birth - revealed last week he was keen for the royal baby to be a girl, and looked pleased as he entered the palace to see the child, which is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's second child after 21-month-old Prince George.
The couple arrived less than an hour after the maternal grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton, and aunt Pippa, just a day after the as-yet-unnamed was shown to the world when William and Catherine left the Lindo Wing of the hospital.
Prince William, 32, told the press yesterday he was "very happy" about becoming a father to the baby princess, who is fourth in line to the throne after Princes Charles, William, and elder brother George.
Queen Elizabeth is yet to meet the new arrival due to royal engagements, but heard well wishes this morning as she attended a church service in Norfolk, on the same estate as the family's country retreat, Anmer Hall.
While the name of the child has not yet been announced, bookmakers say Charlotte, Alice and Olivia are the favourites for the princess, who is the first girl to be born into the British monarchy for 25 years.

Duchess Catherine’s parents offer ‘ordinary life’ to newborn princess

Britain's Duchess Catherine's parents "offer the closest to ordinary life" for the newborn princess.
The 33-year-old royal delivered her second child with Prince William yesterday morning (02.05.15), and royal experts believe it is the tot's maternal grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton who will provide a degree of normality to her life away from the spotlight.
Royal writer Robert Lacey explained: "The thing about the Middletons is that they are thoroughly self-assured and self-contained. They have a stable home and family life, and that clearly appeals to William.
"Even when he goes down to stay with his grandparents in the country, Prince George is surrounded by security.
"It's difficult to say it's an ordinary life but perhaps the Middletons offer the closest to ordinary life inside that stockade of security."
The as-yet unnamed Princess of Cambridge was born at 08.34am BST weighing 8lbs 3oz, and despite only being a day old, experts have already predicted she will have a huge impact on the British economy, with the potential to raise £150 million for businesses and designers in the UK every year of her life.
Brand expert Robert Haigh told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "This baby girl opens up a whole new demographic for the 'Brand Windsor-effect'.
"In the years to come her wardrobe will be carefully scrutinised, with the specific items she wears likely to sell out in days and the labels enjoying long-lasting uplifts in brand strength and sales."

Royal baby ‘highly likely’ to be named today

Britain's Princess of Cambridge is "highly likely" to be named today (03.05.15).
The second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine, was born yesterday (02.05.15) at 8.34am BST at St Mary's Hospital in London, and having spent a night at Kensington Palace, experts are expecting the family to reveal the name of the tot later today.
The Daily Mirror newspaper's royal reporter Victoria Murphy said: "Today we're hoping to see visitors to Kensington Palace and also find out the Princess's name.
"The naming is highly likely, but not definite."
Although the parents - who already had 21-month-old Prince George - have not yet hinted at any names, Charlotte and Alice are the favourites according to bookmakers, while there are also high odds on the child being called Elizabeth, Olivia or Victoria.
The couple's daughter - who is the first girl to be born into the British monarchy in 25 years - comes more than a century after the first Princess of Cambridge, Mary, who was born in 1833.
Dubbed the 'People's Princess' as a youngster due to her charity work, the royal - who is the great-great-great-great grandmother of the newborn child - later became known for her lavish parties and decided to exile in 1883 after running up sizeable financial debts.
However, tourism experts believe the latest birth will spark a positive economic situation, with VisitLondon predicting the English capital will see 32 million UK and overseas visitors in 2015, up from the 29.1 million who took the trip in the year her elder brother George was born in 2013.

The Queen - who was attending a military parade to mark the new regiment The Royal Lancers - also wore an Angela Kelly hat and a Queen's Royal Lancers brooch for the occasion, where she looked in good spirits thanks to the news of the family birth.
