Prince William reveals his Christmas fear

Britain's Prince William is worried he won't get any sleep this Christmas.
The 33-year-old royal - who has two children, a two-year-old son called George and a seven-month old daughter called Charlotte, with the Duchess of Cambridge - has revealed his oldest child has suddenly become aware of the significance of Christmas, and so the prince is fearful he won't be able to sleep on December 24.
Asked what he'll be doing to mark the big day, the prince said: "Well, if I get any sleep on Christmas Eve it'll be good, because George will be bouncing around like a rabbit. I think George will be extremely bouncy this year because he's suddenly worked out what Christmas is all about.
"So that will be two children, one who suddenly appreciates Christmas, which could be quite challenging. But I'm looking forward to it."
The prince also revealed his specific plan for Christmas Day.
He told the Big Issue: "We'll go to church as a family on Christmas Day, as we always do. Then we'll watch George try to tackle his presents as he tries to unwrap them.
"It's a very different experience at Christmas, having a family of your own. It'd be nice if we got a white Christmas because we haven't had one in many years."

Duchess Catherine visits drug addicts

Britain's Duchess Catherine paid a visit to the Action on Addiction charity in Warminster yesterday (10.12.15).
The 33-year-old royal, who has already carried out two royal engagements this week, called into the organisation's centre for Addiction Treatment Studies in Wiltshire, England, to meet its staff and discuss how they support people hooked on drugs and booze as well as provide help to their families.
Speaking to programme director Derrick Anderson, according to the Daily Star newspaper, Catherine - who is patron for the charity - said: "I think getting the whole family together is so important. It doesn't affect just one person."
Meanwhile, Catherine - who has children George, two, and Charlotte, seven months, with her husband William - has a couple of busy weeks coming up in the run up to Christmas.
The brunette beauty recently announced she will attend the children's Christmas gathering at the Anna Freud Centre in North London on December 15, where she'll join in the festivities, tour the centre and see how the children are getting on since she visited the school in September.
Her visit three months ago came just a few weeks after she released a statement saying how she intends to "play a part" in the improvement of mental health services and to address the issues in order to "benefit young people."

Duke of Cambridge dishes out medals to Ebola medics

Britain's Duke of Cambridge has dished out medals to a group of medics who helped tackle Ebola in West Africa.
The 33-year-old royal presented 160 trophies to medical staff from the Army, RAF and Royal Navy during a parade at Keogh Barracks in Surrey yesterday (10.12.15) in recognition of their deployment to Sierra Leone last October.
Aldershot MP Sir Gerald Howarth told the GetSurrey newspaper: "This has been a wonderful day to recognise a reliable group of men and women in the military medical services, particularly the army who have done a fantastic job for the people of Sierra Leone.
"If it hadn't been for the people here, it [the Ebola crisis] would not have been dealt with."
The handsome Prince - who has two children George, two, and seven-month-old Charlotte with his wife Catherine - was assisted in handing out the medals by Colonel Alison McCourt, who was awarded an OBE for her service commanding 22 Field Hospital during the deployment.
The Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone lasted 18 months and sadly killed nearly 4,000 people.

Duchess Camilla pulls out of engagement due to back pain

Britain's Duchess of Cornwall pulled out of a Buckingham Palace reception earlier this week due to back pain.
The 68-year-old royal was forced to cancel her appearance at the white tie reception on Tuesday (08.12.15) under doctor's orders.
A spokeswoman for Clarence House explained: "The Duchess of Cornwall did not attend the reception on medical advice, due to neck and shoulder pain."
The Duchess was expected to join her husband Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the glamorous gathering, one of the highlights of the royal calendar, put on for 1,500 guests.
Meanwhile, this isn't the first time Camilla has had to miss an engagement as she also pulled out of her royal duties in September after being struck down with a stomach bug.
However, despite her on-going trouble with back and neck pain, the blonde beauty is not expected to miss anymore.
Camilla, who married into the royal family in 2005 when she tied the knot with Charles, has sparked concerns she's battling with osteoporosis, a bone condition which killed her mother, but sources close to her are adamant she doesn't.

Prince Charles to attend pass out parade in Sandhurst

Britain's Prince Charles is set to attend the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst's passing out parade today (11.12.15).
The 67-year-old royal is expected to watch officer cadets pass out from the prestigious training college in Camberley, Surrey, and receive their commissions this afternoon.
The Prince of Wales will stand in for his mother Queen Elizabeth at the Sovereign's Parade, which formally marks the cadets' completion of their training course, after representing her in the past - in 1978, 1989 and 1998.
During the parade, Charles will dish out the Overseas Award, The Queen's Medal - for academic achievement - The Overseas Sword and the Sword of Honour.
He will then make a speech, before the parade will come to a close when Adjutant Major Peter Middlemiss SG rides his horse Coldstream up the steps of Old College, as he follows the graduating Officer Cadets through the Grand Entrance.
Meanwhile, the Prince has had a busy couple of weeks as he's on a mission to help flood-stricken families in the UK.
His Countryside Fund has announced a £40,000 grant to support rural communities, farmers and businesses affected by the flooding following disaster in Cumbria recently.
The announcement comes after Queen Elizabeth expressed her sympathy for those people who have already been affected by the devastation, as more rain it set to strike.
She wrote: "Please convey my sympathy to all those whose homes or livelihoods have been affected by the recent flooding. My thanks go to members of the emergency services, local authorities, military personnel and volunteers who are providing assistance in these difficult conditions."

Prince Harry named World’s Most Eligible Bachelor

Britain's Prince Harry has been named the World's Most Eligible Bachelor 2016.
The 31-year-old royal has followed in the footsteps of George Clooney, who had taken the top spot for three years' running prior to his marriage last year to lawyer Amal Alamuddin, after he was voted the most desirable single man in a new poll carried out by Crown Clinic in Manchester.
Hair transplant surgeon, Asim Shahmalak, from Crown Clinic said: "It's no surprise that Prince Harry is the world's most eligible bachelor - we all love him because he is a fun guy who doesn't take life too seriously. He is also seriously handsome, particularly since growing his ginger beard."
Sinking into second was former One Direction star Zayn Malik, 22, while hunky Leonardo DiCaprio, 41, managed to climb into third, just ahead of Ed Sheeran, 24, in fourth.
Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, 38 - who previously dated supermodel Lily Cole - was the highest place businessman as he came in at fifth, while Jake Gyllenhaal, 34, came sixth.
Seventh place went to Michael Fassbender, 34, as Henry Cavill, 32, managed to swipe the eighth position on the list.
Zayn's former band mate Harry Styles, 21, who is known for being a bit of a ladies' man, surprisingly dropped into ninth place, while James Franco, 37, rounded off the list in tenth.
The results were gathered from a poll of 1,000 women who were asked by Britain's leading hair transplant centre to rank the five most important characteristics - apart from being single - when assessing a bachelor's eligibility.

The World's Top 10 Bachelors for 2016 are as follows;

1) Prince Harry
2) Zayn Malik
3) Leonardo DiCaprio
4) Ed Sheeran
5) Jack Dorsey
6) Jake Gyllenhaal
7) Michael Fassbender
8) Henry Cavill
9) Harry Styles
10) James Franco

Duchess of Cornwall joins Jockey Club

Britain's Duchess of Cornwall has accepted an invitation to become an honorary member of the Jockey Club.
The 68-year-old royal, who regularly attends the Cheltenham Festival and owns horses, has been appointed the position due to her love of horse-racing and the support she offers to equine charities and disciplines.
Roger Weatherby, senior steward of the Jockey Club, told Sky news: "We are honoured and delighted that Her Royal Highness has accepted our invitation to become an Honorary Member of the Jockey Club. The Duchess' love of horses and horse-racing is well known, along with her support for equine charities and disciplines generally."
The Jockey club is confident having the Duchess on board will allow it to continue fulfilling its missions.
Mr Weatherby added: "Racing is part of the fabric of British national life and the Jockey Club's sole mission is to support its long-term health."
Meanwhile, Duchess Camilla isn't the only member of the royal family to be apart of the Jockey Club, which was founded in 1970, as her husband Prince Charles, 67, whom she married in 2005, is also part of the organisation.

Duchess Catherine to attend children’s Christmas party

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is set to attend the children's Christmas gathering at the Anna Freud Centre next week.
The 33-year-old royal, who has children George, two, and Charlotte, seven months, with her husband Prince William, has confirmed she'll attend the Family School Christmas Party in North London on December 15.
Kensington Palace took to its official Twitter account to announced the news, writing: "The Duchess returns to the Anna Freud Centre @afcevents on 15 December for their Family School Christmas party (sic)."
The brunette beauty will join in the festivities, tour the centre and see how the children are getting on since she visited the school at the start of this academic year in September.
Catherine, who was known as Kate Middleton before she married William in 2011, decided to make the Anna Freud Centre her first official royal duty following her maternity leave after the birth of baby Charlotte three months ago.
The school offers an alternative way of teaching by allowing parents to sit in on lessons and attend their own classes as a way of learning how to effectively support their children.
Her visit came just a few weeks after she released a statement saying how she intends to "play a part" in the improvement of mental health services and to address the issues in order to "benefit young people."

Princess Charlene of Monaco is dedicated to motherhood

Princess Charlene of Monaco wants to be with her twins every single moment of every day.
The 37 year old's husband Prince Albert has nothing but praise for his wife because she gets up at the crack of dawn to feed Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, who turn 12 months today (10.12.15), and then looks after them all day.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, he said: "She's very eager to be with her children at all times. She's up with the kids at six and takes them through the morning. Every day.
"I don't think they would be as smiling and happy as they are if she weren't as good a mother as she is."
The blonde beauty hasn't been seen out-and-about in public since she gave birth to the little ones but Albert, 57, is adamant it's because she's so dedicated to parenthood.
He added: "She's had to organise a number of things a little differently during the past year.
"She's had to organise several household moves this year as well and that has been a big task for her, but she's shown herself to be incredibly organised and a great mother."
