Prince Charles offers to buy a round

Britain's Prince Charles offered to buy a round in a pub hit by floods.
The 67-year-old royal and his wife Duchess Camilla were shown around the New Inn in Stamford Bridge, East Yorks, yesterday (18.02.16), as landlady Helen Ambler explained how flooding on Boxing Day (26.12.15) saw the building swamped by the River Ouse, leaving 3ft of raw sewage and water.
However, Charles was unable to buy any drinks as the pub is currently being repaired.
Helen said: "He offered to buy the pub a drink. He asked if he could pop in the next time he's passing.
"It's nice to be recognised that we've had a problem.
"A lot of the emphasis has been on York but we had it quite bad and it was very good to meet them."
The prince chatted to workers about how they are returning the pub to normal, and took a particular interest in the bar, which has already been restored by a local craftsman.
The couple were welcomed to the village by hundreds of well-wishers, who lined the square.
One local joked it was the first time a royal had visited Stamford Bridge since 1066 when King Harold beat a Viking army then marched south for his fatal battle with William The Conqueror near Hastings.

Duchess Catherine to host tennis workshop with Judy Murray

Duchess Catherine will host a tennis workshop with Judy Murray.
The 34-year-old royal will travel to Edinburgh, Scotland next week where she will take part in the Tennis on the Road coaching clinic, hosted by the coach, who is also the mother of tennis star Andy Murray.
The Tennis on the Road foundation was set up by Judy and plans to bring tennis to a whole new generation of kids with its upcoming roadshow.
According to the website: "Judy and her coaching team will aim to give parents, coaches, teachers and volunteers the tools needed to get kids active and to help further kick-start and develop tennis in Scotland."
Catherine, who is known as the Countess of Strathearn in Scotland, is a huge tennis fan and she and her husband Prince William were recently granted planning permission to build a court on the grounds of their country estate, Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
It was recently revealed that Queen Elizabeth is planning to hand over some of her duties to Duchess Catherine.
The 89-year-old royal wants to cut down on her workload and has reportedly decided to pass on her patronage of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, which is responsible for Wimbledon, to her granddaughter-in-law.

‘Gentleman farmer’ Prince William

Britain's Prince William lives the life of a "gentleman country farmer" at home in Norfolk.
The 33-year-old royal and his wife, Duchess Catherine, 34, have an apartment at Kensington Palace in London but love to spend time at their country estate, Anmer Hall, where William enjoys a quieter life in between undertaking royal duties.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "He wanted to move to Norfolk to give him the life of the gentleman country farmer, like his friends.
"Everything has been set up - his pilot job, his duties, his home - so he can do this.
"Shooting, fishing, house parties at weekends and a very private life with his family away from the cameras are the order of the day.
"All his friends live this country lifestyle and so, now, does he."
Along with his royal duties, William - who has children Prince George and Princess Charlotte with Catherine - is also kept busy working with the East Anglian Air Ambulance which is based in Cambridge and serves Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
He began working with the service last July and completed four rescue missions in his first week.

Pippa Middleton meets with celebrity trainer

Pippa Middleton recently enjoyed a meeting with Elle Macpherson's trainer.
The sister of British royal Duchess Catherine is a fitness fanatic and was spotted chatting with James Duigan at his Bodyism cafe in West London, where she examined some of his popular food supplements.
Pippa, 32, may have been getting advice from the trainer, as it was previously claimed that she hopes to become a nutritionist and has passed her knowledge on to her sister Duchess Catherine.
A source told the Daily Mail: "Under the tutelage of Pippa, Kate has become a health freak. They both have expensive blenders and make themselves green smoothies every morning. The Middletons are a very healthy family and they hate to outsource help or advice, so Pippa thought: Why not become a nutritionist?"
Pippa was spotted examining the Body Brilliance supplement, described on Duigan's website as "a supermodel's secret weapon".
He has also worked with Lara Stone and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Pippa is currently dating financier James Matthews and things are so serious that she has reportedly moved into his London home.

Prince Charles meets mini-me

Prince Charles met his mini-me during a recent royal engagement.
The heir to the British throne was on an official visit to Redcar in North Yorkshire when he was introduced to six-year-old Benjamin Cooper, who is such a huge fan of the royal that he wears a suit every day just to look like him.
Benjamin told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I like him because he was the smartest dressed when we studied the royals at school. I like to dress smart so I can be like Charles."
Ben's mother added: "He asked for a smart suit so he could be like the Prince."
Prince Charles found the admiration of the youngster delightful and greeted the family warmly.
Meanwhile, the 67-year-old royal was visiting the town to hear about the closure of the town's SSI steelworks, which resulted in the loss of almost 2,000 jobs last year.
He praised the local people for their resolve during the crisis.
He said: "I wasn't really expecting to say anything, but for me it's the greatest possible pleasure to come back to this part of the world where I know you have been through so many difficult times.
"I remember coming here six years ago during another difficult time but, if I may say so, despite the horrors you have faced, somehow, in this remarkable part of the world, you have these extraordinary reserves of resilience and, above all, the most wonderful sense of humour.
"How you keep it I don't know; it's very infectious and very special."

Meanwhile, although his romance with Juliette is believed to be casual, Harry, 31 - who dotes on his nephew Prince George and niece Princess Charlotte - has previously revealed he wants to settle down and have children.
He said: "I would love to have kids right now. There come times when you think now is the time to settle down, or now is not, whatever way it is, but I don't think you can force these things. It will happen when it's going to happen."

Duchess Catherine is "passionate" about raising awareness of children's mental health.
The royal - who has two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with husband Prince William is joining forces with HuffPost UK to launch Young Minds Matter and the site's co-founder Ariana Huffington has praised Catherine in a new blog post.
She wrote: "We're honoured and thrilled to welcome a very special guest editor, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge. She'll be joining editors at HuffPost UK to launch Young Minds Matter, a new global initiative to raise awareness around mental health and children. Together, we want to open up the conversation around mental health - an issue that's too often stigmatised and discussed only in whispers, if at all.
"The Duchess is passionate about opening up the conversation around young people and mental health."
Ariana also praised Catherine for "shining a light on this issue".
She wrote: "The Duchess, as the world knows, is herself the mother of two young children, and knows the importance of shining a light on this issue, especially for the vulnerable and the voiceless. And the timing couldn't be better, since this is a moment when we not only understand the depth of the mental health challenges facing young people, but have more tools than ever at our disposal to get them the help they need."

Duchess Camilla praised

Duchess Camilla has been praised for her work with children.
The royal - who has a number of grandchildren - took part in a workshop based on Roald Dahl's 'The B.F.G.' earlier this week, where she delighted the youngsters in attendance by reading to them and taking part in some activities.
Jude Kelly, artistic director of Southbank Centre, told PEOPLE: "She's always amusing, curious, always engaged with kids.
"She never ticks the boxes and always does something very personal. She loves children and they love her. I notice she creates private time with them on occasions like this, she's not using them for a photo opportunity."
Camilla is the patron of the Roald Dahl 100, which celebrates the author in the year he would have been 100.
She was recently named as a judge for 500 WORDS, the writing competition for children between the ages of five and 13.
Camilla joined Malorie Blackman, Charlie Higson, Frank Cottrell Boyce and Francesca Simon on the judging panel.

Ballot opens for Queen Elizabeth’s birthday bash

A ballot has opened to distribute tickets to Queen Elizabeth's birthday celebrations.
The royal will turn 90 on April 21 and although tickets for her official 90th Birthday Celebration sold out within hours after going on sale last year, 5,000 passes are up for grabs for an event in Windsor.
The Celebration on The Long Walk will take place on May 15, near Windsor Castle, and culminate in a screening of the Birthday Celebration, a 90-minute spectacular featuring 900 horses and more than 1,500 participants.
It will celebrate the life of the royal, who has reigned as monarch for more than 60 years.
Queen Elizabeth will also celebrate her birthday by hosting a street party for 10,000 people on The Mall near Buckingham Palace, London.
Peter Phillips, who is in charge of the event and also happens to be the Queen's grandson, said: "I was very conscious to make sure we did this properly, so we went through the normal channels of approaching the Palace.
"We had to show that this wasn't a case of trying to cut corners because the Queen happens to be my grandmother. I said [to the Queen], 'Oh, by the way you may or may not have heard that we are having conversations with your office about this' ... She said, 'I've heard you're up to something.'"
The Mall is set to be filled with a thousand tables, which seats ten people each, whilst ten thousand chairs will have to be placed down the iconic road individually.
