Britain’s royal family enjoyed their annual festive lunch yesterday (17.12.14) at Buckingham Palace.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and their 17-month-old son Prince George, all arrived at the royal residence for the big event.
Prince William – who married his wife in 2011 – was seen driving the couple into the palace, which was surrounded by well wishers of the royals.
The event marks their first official appearance together since their recent tour of New York City, which saw them meet a host of city officials as well as music powercouple Jay Z and Beyonce.
It also comes shortly after rumours emerged that the Duchess – who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her wedding – had made a conscious decision to distance herself from some of the Duke’s party-loving friends.
The claims were fuelled by the fact that the Duchess, who is pregnant with her second child, has missed a number of engagements over the last 12 months, including various wedding ceremonies.
Other attendees included the Duke’s younger brother Prince William, 30, as well as Prince Charles and Princess Beatrice.
