Ross Kemp wants acting return

Ross Kemp wants to return to acting.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star is a regular on TV in his various hard-hitting documentary series, but he is keen to play a character again and admits he will do "anything that’s good and challenging".
He said: "I’d like to do some acting. Yes, really. I need to do something different and less all-consuming.
"TV, film, theatre – I don’t mind. Anything that’s good and challenging I’ll do."
Ross – who has played Grant Mitchell in three different spells on the BBC One soap from 1990 – recently slept rough as part of his new doc, ‘Ross Kemp: Living With Homelessness’, and he admits the issue is "heart-breaking".
He added to TV Times magazine: "I’ve spent a lot of time travelling abroad and to see these problems happening in my own country is just heart-breaking.
"If you want escapist drama – fine, off you go.
"But if you want to find out what’s happening in your own country, then you should watch this series."
Ross’ acting revelation comes after he hinted he could return to Albert Square.
Speaking in September, he said: "Never say never. But there are loads more issues I’d love to make documentaries about too."
And he is now more known for his documentaries than appearing on ‘EastEnders’.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "People in London don’t tend to shout anything because they’re all too cool and they’re all important. But I’ve been travelling all around the UK, and I have to say it’s now more Ross than it is Grant, but I don’t mind either way. Whether it’s Grant or whether it’s Ross it’s positive and I think that a lot of the documentaries that we’ve made people have enjoyed watching and hopefully they’ll continue to watch."
