Rose Leslie was "oblivious" to the ‘Game of Thrones’ fandom before she started filming scenes for the popular TV show.
The 27-year-old actress has admitted that she had no idea how popular the HBO adaptation of the George R. R. Martin novels was until she attended a Comic Con event to promote GoT.
Talking in the latest issue of InStyle magazine, Rose shared: "I was so naive at first. I was oblivious to how huge the fan base was, so I didn’t feel too much pressure. I was shooting my first season in Iceland with a tight crew, so I was cocooned in my bubble on this beautiful landscape with no one else to be seen. And then it hit me at Comic Con, my first big event for the show."
Her on-screen character Ygritte, was killed off the show in July 2014 and Rose has revealed that filming scenes with her co-star Kit Harington (who played Jon Snow) was very "emotional".
She said: "It was hard but I knew from day one that she was going to die because I had read the books. HBO had scheduled that scene so it was my final one to film, which played on my romantic side. It was a very emotional day."
