Ronnie Corbett dies aged 85

Ronnie Corbett has died aged 85.
The legendary comedian passed away today (31.03.16) surrounded by his family, his publicist has announced.
His cause of death is yet to be announced, but the diminutive funnyman has battled with ill-health over the past four years.
Just two years ago, Ronnie was rushed to hospital with gall bladder problems but he seemingly made a miraculous recovery and jumped straight back into work just a week later.
His bad batch of poor health seemingly started in 2012 when he collapsed at a dinner to celebrate being awarded a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE).
He was discharged two days later but his wife Anne Hart, whom he married in 1965, believes the collapse probably stemmed from the amount of medication he was taking following a knee operation.
Despite his battle with poor health in recent years, the Scottish-born funnyman has spent most of his life on television screens.
He was most recently seen starring in the Radio 4 sitcom ‘When the Dog Dies’ but is best known for his appearance alongside the late Ronnie Barker, who died of heart failure in 2005, in the hit comedy ‘The Two Ronnies’ in the 70s and 80s.
Ronnie leaves behind his wife Anne, with whom he recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, and their two grown-up daughters actresses Emma and Sophie Corbett.
