Ronan Keating in talks for comedy movie roles

Ronan Keating is to return to acting after Boyzone’s farewell tour.
The ‘No Matter What’ hitmaker has revealed he has been offered a number of big screen roles in comedies, and as soon as he and his bandmates – Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham – wrap their ‘Thank You & Goodnight’ tour in February, he’ll be focusing his time on prepping himself for his new gigs.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "There’s a couple of films I’ve been asked to do that are on the table but finding the time to do them is the hard part.
"It’s going to be very different – they’re comedy films. You know I’m quite funny, me.
"Comedy’s always something I’d love to do. It would be a lot of fun.
"I grew up watching comedy, I love comedy."
The 41-year-old star – who has 17-month-old Cooper with wife Storm and Jack, 20, Missy, 17, and Ali, 13, from his marriage to Yvonne Connolly – previously starred in the comedy musical ‘Goddess’ in 2013, and his last movie was 2017’s World War II drama ‘Another Mother’s Son’.
Ronan admits it will be "emotional" bidding farewell to his Irish boyband years, but says it probably won’t hit him until they are nearing the end of their tour.
He said: "I’m not sad yet, it’s too early.
"We’ve got a whole year ahead of us with an album release, promotion, tour, so it’s going to be another 12 months.
"But I’m sure next summer when we get to the pointy end it will be emotional."
Meanwhile, Ronan recently confessed he he’s often turned up to his early morning radio show worse for wear.
The ‘Life Is a Rollercoaster’ hitmaker presents the UK Magic Radio Breakfast show with Harriet Scott weekdays from 6am, and has admitted he’s copied TV show ‘This Morning’ hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on occasions, in arriving to work still hungover, most recently after this year’s GQ Men of the Year Awards.
He said: "It’s horrible.
"A couple of times now, I’ve been out and gone straight in. The last time was the GQ Awards – I was at a house party until 4.30am and I pushed right through. It wasn’t my best show."
