Roman Kemp’s memorable journeys

Roman Kemp admits some of his "best memories" have been made on the journey home from a night out.
The Capital FM DJ has teamed up with Absolut for their Better Journeys Home anti-drink driving campaign to give away free cab rides home in London, Manchester and Birmingham over the festive season and he’s admitted he was inspired to get involved because he wants partygoers not to have memories of a nightmare trip overshadow their fun evening.
He said: "Some of the best memories I have of my mates have been made during journeys home, so I jumped at the chance to help people make their nights memorable for all the right reasons. What better way to get home safely with your friends this Christmas, than a free ride?"
The ‘Takeshi’s Castle’ host and his pals have also appeared in a 60-second animated video, #BetterJourneysHome, to raise awareness of the campaign and share some of their own stories – including bus stop snoozes and milk float shenanigans – in the hope of encouraging people to choose a safer way to end their night over the next few weeks.
Adam Boita, Head of Marketing for Absolut, said: "Drink-driving figures are unfortunately continuing to rise; so we wanted to think of a creative and fun way to capture the attention of those, who are most at risk on the roads.
"Teaming up with Roman Kemp and Dirty Martini, our aim is to encourage as many people as possible to seek out safer and Better Journeys Home this festive season and beyond."
Bookings for Better Journeys Home are open now via the Dirty Martini website: http://dirtymartini.uk.com/betterjourneyshome/. Terms and Conditions apply.
