Roman Kemp to front new music game show

Roman Kemp is set to front a new music game show.
The 25-year-old radio host – whose father is Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp – was left red faced last year when his ITV2 show ‘Bromans’ was dropped after just one series, but he hasn’t let that stop him from pursuing his presenting career as he’s reportedly been asked to front the forthcoming programme ‘Title Fight’.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Producers are excited about the show and think the cast’s chemistry is on point, they’re hoping it’ll be a big hit. Roman fancies himself as the new Dermot O’Leary and is putting all his energy into TV presenting."
‘Title Fight’ will also be presented by comedian Joel Dommett and Maya Jama as two special guests are put through their paces and tested on their musical knowledge in the hope of getting their favourite-ever song on Roman’s playlist.
Before he wiggled his way onto radio and then onto the small screen, Roman used to scrub toilets for a living because his parents refused to help him out.
He explained recently: "My parents were very up on me and my sister earning our own whack. Sitting on your a**e wasn’t a thing in our house . Even if I’d work odd jobs all week when I was trying to make it as a presenter, if my dad saw me sitting down he’d say, ‘Get in the garden and film something. Email people! Use this time.’
"I used to clean toilets at the local gym. I never officially left that job, so technically I still work there. But it was to tide me over while I followed my dream."
It was actually Roman’s mother Shirlie Holliman who encouraged him to present.
He said: "My mum sat me down and asked what I wanted to do and I said I wanted to be a TV presenter. She said, ‘Well, how are you going to do that?’ I said I didn’t know anyone in that industry. She said, ‘Go out and find them then.’ I worked with my sister on the side (photographer Harley Moon Kemp) to earn enough for the train fare to London and I went for it. A lot of people think I had a leg-up in the industry, but it was never like that. I whored myself out everywhere and the rest is history."
