Roman Kemp returning to work on Thursday

Roman Kemp will return to work this Thursday (12.12.19).
The radio DJ has been off work for more than three weeks while he was taking part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, on which he finished third, but he has confirmed he will be back behind the microphone on his ‘Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp’ show in just three days.
In a video message to Capital listeners, he said: "I’ll be back Thursday morning because the show never stops. I really can’t wait.
"The jungle experience was – in three words – intriguing, wonderful and disgusting, that’s the only words I can have to describe the whole thing.
"I’m gutted that I missed the Jingle Bell Ball, I hope it was every moment I wished it could have been. I can’t wait to see you on Thursday, speak soon."
Roman – the son of musicians Martin and Shirlie Kemp – also thanked listeners for voting for him during his time Down Under.
He added: "I just want to say thank you so much for voting for me whilst I’ve been in the jungle and keeping me in there. I couldn’t believe it.
"Everyone’s been talking to me about the support that everyone’s shown and I’ve seen a bit of it and I can’t wait to see you all."
Last night, Roman admitted taking part in the show was the "best thing" he had ever done in his life, and he "couldn’t be more grateful" for the opportunity.
He said: "That was the best thing of my life. I’ve never had more fun, I’ve never had an experience like that, I couldn’t be more grateful."
The star was reunited with his girlfriend Anne-Sophie Flury upon his exit from the jungle.
Roman Kemp returns to ‘Capital Breakfast’ this Thursday – tune into ‘Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp’, week days from 6am to 10am.
