Roger Deakins will not be working on Bond 24.
The 64-year-old cinematographer who worked on 2012’s ‘Skyfall’ will not team up with director Sam Mendes on the forthcoming 007 film, Hitflix’s Kristopher Tapley has revealed.
He wrote on Twitter: "At dinner with Deakins last night I learned some news that makes me sad: He won’t be shooting the next Bond. (sic)"
Deakins previously worked with Mendes on biographical drama ‘Jarhead’ and American drama ‘Revolutionary Road’.
The 24th film in the ‘James Bond’ series will see Daniel Craig return as the fictional British spy with John Logan writing the script.
‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ star Naomie Harris and ‘The Invisible Woman’ star Ralph Fiennes are set to reprise their roles as MI6 field agent Moneypenny and M respectively, in the movie.
Deakins has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography eleven times previously, and is in the line up this year for his work on Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Prisoners’.
