Rochelle Humes: Alaia-Mai wants a sister

Rochelle and Marvin Humes’ daughter doesn’t want a baby brother.
The couple will welcome their second child into the world in the spring and though they don’t know the sex of the baby, three-year-old Alaia-Mai has been very vocal about the fact she’d prefer a sister.
In an interview with the new issue of HELLO! magazine, Rochelle said: "Alaia’s been going through an ‘Urgh boys, I only like girls’ stage lately and said that if it’s a brother she wants to push him back in.
"So now I’ve gone so far in preparing her for the fact that it might be a boy, I worry she might be disappointed if it’s not."
But while she isn’t keen on having a brother, Alaia-Mai is excited about being a big sister and is already expressing an interest in wanting to help out with her sibling when he or she is born.
The Saturdays star Rochelle added: "We’re expecting in the spring time and can’t wait. We’re so excited for Lai to have a little playmate. Already she’s showing that she’s going to be such a little helper. She tells me, ‘Mummy we need to buy nappies and dummies’.
"And when we’re cuddling up, she puts her mouth right over my belly button and goes, ‘Hello little brother or sister’. It’s very cute."
The family recently moved into a new house and the 27-year-old beauty thinks they’ve finally found their "forever home".
The ‘Ninja Warrior UK’ host said: "Our homes have mirrored the different stages of our relationship.
"Our first place was super-modern and very cool, with lots of monochrome because we were young and just starting out.
"After we got married, we wanted something cosy to start our family in. Now, with another on the way, we’ve found our perfect family home. It’s our forever home. That’s it now. I’m not moving again."
