Robbie Williams: I feel burnt out

Robbie Williams feels "burnt out" after going on an extensive promotional tour for his new album ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’.
The 42-year-old singer has admitted to feeling tired because of his hectic work schedule, which shows no signs of easing anytime soon, with the ‘Candy’ hitmaker poised to appear at the ‘BBC Sports Personality of the Year’ event and the BBC’s ‘New Year’s Eve spectacular’ over the coming weeks.
Following an intimate set at the BBC Maida Vale Studios for Radio 2, Robbie told host Jo Whiley: "I hope I’ve been OK. And I hope you’ve had a good time. I’m a bit burnt out, to be honest with you."
The audience responded sympathetically to Robbie’s remarks, but the pop star was keen to stress that he relishes his job, despite the jam-packed schedule he is facing.
He said: "Listen, I’m having the best time. My job is absolutely amazing … I’m loving my job, I’m loving my life. But I’ve been mega busy.
"I was in Australia two minutes ago, then Spain then Germany and I’ve been talking about myself and singing at people. And I realise tonight when Rock DJ came on I was like ‘Oh my God, there’s nothing in the tank.’"
During his promotional efforts, Robbie teamed up with fellow singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum for a special performance of ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’.
And Robbie hinted at a potential collaboration between himself and Jamie in the future.
He said: "We don’t sound bad together, do we? That gives me an idea. We may be seeing more of that in the future. I hope so."
Despite his current stresses, Robbie also admitted recently that he plans to new music with Take That "at some point".
Robbie said he would like to reunite with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen to make some new tunes for one of their forthcoming anniversaries.
Robbie said: "I’m sure I’ll be in the studio with the boys at some point, maybe soon. We haven’t made any plans yet.
"You can always fudge an anniversary of some sort. Like, it was the anniversary this year, but we got together in 1990, so the 25th anniversary would have been last year.
"Then there’s the anniversary of the first song, the first anniversary of most people with brown eyes buying the record and so on."
