Robbie Williams gives away BRIT Award trophies to pals

Robbie Williams has given away 17 of his BRIT Award trophies to his showbiz pals.
The ‘I Love My Life’ hitmaker has swept up a record 18 statuettes from the prestigious music bash over the years and has only kept one of them because his wife Ayda Field, 37, made sure he held onto his BRITs Icon Award, which he received this year.
His friends lucky enough to get their hands on a gong include England soccer captain Wayne Rooney and comedian Paddy McGuiness.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Robbie said: "I’ve given them all away but Ayda made me keep that.
"You know when Jose Mourinho gave away his Premier League medals straight away?
"It’s a monument to something that’s already happened and I’m on to the next thing and I want more.
"Paddy McGuiness has one. He gave me a comedy award.
"Phil Taylor has one, Wayne Rooney gave me a pair of World Cup boots for one – they’re just in the house."
When the 43-year-old singer takes to the stage at London’s The O2 on Wednesday (22.02.17) he will smash yet another record as the artist who has performed the most at the glitzy event, and he has something special up his sleeve.
He said: "There might be a few surprises. I think I’ll think of something stupid to do, thinking it’s a great idea.
"If you don’t fall over or let your t**s fall out then nobody remembers."
Robbie – who has daughter Teddy, four, and two-year-old son Charlton with his 37-year-old ‘Loose Women’ panellist wife – thinks it’s "f*****g odd" that he’s won 18 BRITs.
The ‘Candy’ singer can’t understand why other artists like Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John haven’t had the same success at the ceremony.
He recently said: "It’s kind of that big an achievement that it’s hard to work out why I’ve got 18 Brits and no-one else has. It’s f**king odd.
"Why hasn’t Paul McCartney got 18? Why hasn’t Elton John? Why has a half decent singer who can’t dance from Stoke got 18? It like a glitch in the Matrix."
