Robbie Williams BRITs set plagued with technical difficulties

Robbie Williams’ BRIT Awards performance was plagued with technical difficulties.
The 43-year-old singer performed a medley of his greatest hits including ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’, ‘Love My Life’ and new single ‘Mixed Signals’ at the ceremony at London’s The O2 on Wednesday (22.02.17) in celebration of his BRITs icon award, but his long-anticipated set was met with multiple hiccups.
During his performance of ‘Feel’ his mic was muted for several seconds, followed by two dancers falling over on stage and Robbie was also seen fiddling with his ear piece which didn’t seem to be working properly.
And, as the star continued his set for the ITV2 after party show, a microphone of a presenter talking outside the venue could be heard over his singing.
Before the show even begun, the ‘I Love My Life hitmaker’s band were reportedly forced to get changed in a disabled toilet at the bash to make room for The 1975’s 100-piece choir in the dressing rooms.
A source said the night before: "Being backed by a choir is completely unexpected and that’s what excites Matt about the idea. Robbie’s band are in a disabled shower room.
"A posh drape has been fitted to cover up the toilet and shower area to make it look swanky but there is no disguising the wet room floor."
And the glitches came after the star was reportedly in "serious pain" during rehearsals on Monday (20.02.17).
A source said: "Robbie is in absolute agony and it’s causing him and his team a lot of stress.
"He struggled through his rehearsal on Monday but you could tell he was in serious pain.
"It’s not improved at all since then and he has cancelled some of his promo today so that he can rest up.
"But Robbie is a consummate professional. He is determined his performance will go ahead and has said he won’t let anything stop him taking to the stage."
